Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (if i want to make a bio of myself i can) --Josh Reiner (talk) 19:54, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You may maintain a short intro about yourself on your user page at User:Josh Reiner. Please do not create articles about yourself in the article space like you did at Josh Reiner and Joshua Reiner. Please review our policy WP:BIO and WP:GNG on what types of articles can be created. WP:USERPAGE will guide you on what is permitted and not permitted on your user page. Mkdwtalk 20:11, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I also suggest you read WP:YOUNG. It's generally not a good idea to use your real name and provide very personal information about yourself such as your height and sometimes your general location. Mkdwtalk 20:17, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Josh Reiner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Help me!

if i want to create a bio of myself i will don't mess with it thank you.

Please help me with...

Josh Reiner (talk) 20:31, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Don't create autobiographies. In order to have a Wikipedia article about yourself, you would need to show you're notable enough, per either Wikipedia's general notability guidelines or guidelines on web content. You appear to meet neither. If you want to write about yourself, I recommend creating a website or social media profile, but Wikipedia is not a social network. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Josh Reiner. And repeated creation of articles about yourself that clearly do not meet our notability guidelines. Mkdwtalk 20:45, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

Please help me with, i have notability, i have YouTube accounts and a website.

Josh Reiner (talk) 20:52, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please read over our policy WP:BLP that outlines our notability criteria. Against that criteria, and based upon what you've written in the article, you do not meet those requirements. Mkdwtalk 20:54, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict)I have a Youtube account too, but that doesn't make me notable enough. What Wikipedia cares about is whether or not reliable sources (newspapers, magazines, books, non-social media web content) have written about you- I'm guessing the answer is no. Also, I've removed your age from your userpage, per WP:YOUNG, which says minors should not reveal this information. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:56, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

so pretty much i mean nothing to this world? Josh Reiner (talk) 20:57, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Having a Wikipedia article is not the benchmark on having "meaning". I have deleted your userpage because it discloses non-public information about you and another individual. If you have further questions, please ask them at the WP:TEAHOUSE -- but keep your questions on topic and in relation to Wikipedia. Questions like "i mean nothing to this world?" are not examples of that. Mkdwtalk 20:59, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) No it doesn't mean you're unimportant, it means that you aren't notable for Wikipedia. Almost everyone in this world isn't notable enough, but Wikipedia is about writing about people/things that are notable enough. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:02, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

who was the other individual? Josh Reiner (talk) 21:01, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your "sibling" and their full name. I strongly suggest you read WP:YOUNG and not disclose any personal information about you or your family on the Internet. Please stop using the {{help me}} template. Simply edit the current discussion and sign your name using ~~~~. Mkdwtalk 21:03, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

but what about all the minor celebrities ages? Josh Reiner (talk) 21:06, 9 July 2015 (UTC).[reply]

Information published in the mainstream media can be used as per our policy on WP:RS. Unless you're a celebrity, the comparison is not the same (WP:OTHERSTUFF). Mkdwtalk 21:09, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

so i am not able to write about myself because no one knows me.
