I think this article needs a bt more detail and specificity to it. In the RF, it was commonly given upon marriage to the new couple: George V granted it to the Duke AND DUCHESS OF York (Elizabeth was NOT Queen Mother until 1952--technically the article is inaccurate as written). In 1947, upon marriage, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh (now Elizabeth II) were given it by King George VI. Upon his death I think it reverted to the then Queen Mother. Then after her death it was transferred from her to the Duke of Rothesay. However it is part of the Balmoral Estate, and is part of the reigning monarch's personal property, to do with as they please. On write at article as: "is a 53,000 acre (210 km²) estate on Royal Deeside. But 210 Km2" it's totally wrong. [[Hectare]] is, about Wikipedia en "An acre is about 0.4047 hectare and one hectare contains about 2.47 acres." So I hope that someone can correct that article.

History

74.69.127.200 (talk) 13:10, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
