Missing you

Really missing you and Eric on here, the site isn't the same without you two! I admittedly also feel the lack of TLC on here at the moment, it's a barren place at times and the weather is good! I do hope you'll return at some point.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:28, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Per the doctor. How dare you abandon (the sinking) ship and leave us to fight the vermin and pirates; one might even suggest that you have lived up to your user name by having nothing more to do with the project for the time being. May you return in good time. CassiantoTalk 18:35, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As David Cameron once memorably said, "too many twits might make a twat". Way too many of them on here. I do hope you'll return anyway SP! It is easier to edit now the heat wave and hayfever season peak is over anyway!♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:51, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick note, Sagaciousphil is alive and well and living off-wiki currently, and I am attempting to entice her back by putting annoying typos and MOS errors in every article on her watchlist so she will snap and be forced to log onto fix them! Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:04, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Did someone mention vermin and pirates. Oh, whoops, sorry Threesie. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:43, 15 July 2015 (UTC) [reply]
Any more talk of that m'lad, and you'll be sent to Wikipedia:Requests for Arrrrrbitration.... Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:04, 16 July 2015 (UTC) [reply]
  • On a barely related note, apparently Facebook still offers "English (pirate)" as a language. Complete with "Name", "Pirate Name" (Profile Page), "E-bottle" (Email), "Secret Code: Hoisted 'round about 2 moons afore." (Password: Last changed two months ago), "Tongue" (language). "X fancies your portrait" ("X likes your picture"), "Update yer plunderin'" (Update your status), "'bout a shot o' rum ago" ("about a minute ago") etc. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 09:29, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We've lost another editor in We hope now, one of the greatest researchers and uploaders of images we've ever had. All down to the dishonesty of an admin.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:33, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mmm. I concur. Let us hope common sense will prevail eventually. — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 10:34, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How did that happen? I thought User:We hope was really good. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:44, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Dishonesty and abuse of position over an image of Jim Morrison which he wants deleted. We hope was one of the greatest we've ever had on here who has been of enormous help to me. I'm gutted. I know she's long been annoyed with the commons folk and quit the commons a few months back but to fully quit is really sad.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:02, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
We hope was a real asset to this project Martin and is very, very good. Unfortunately, as Dr.B points out, it appears she was driven away by someone who laughingly calls themselves an admin. Like so many, just recently, Kaldari, whom I'm not familiar with, is an abuser of privileges and is not worthy of being an editor, let alone an admin. I echo my appreciation of We hope and prey that one day she reconsiders. CassiantoTalk 16:44, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Someone has now sent me this link about that "admin". I must say I am quite sickened. And I'd even have to agree with the assessment given by User:Eric Corbett. I'm considering suggesting to Kaldari that he resigns. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:51, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I read this the other day and I was aghast too. They should've resigned ages ago, but I don't suppose it's easy when Jimbo is you're boss and staunch ally. CassiantoTalk 17:25, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Don't believe everything you read in the tabloids. Also FWIW, I don't see how nominating an image for deletion is "dishonest" and an "abuse of position". The closing admin on Commons actually asked me to renominate it. I have nothing against We Hope and have never interacted with her before. I hope she reconsiders her decision to leave. If you need someone to poke with your pitchforks, I suggest the people who wrote US copyright law. Kaldari (talk) 19:16, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What about the disgusting individual who created a site showing depictions of murdered children? You in other words. Eric Corbett 19:26, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It looks to me like you're using your position as a commons admin to muscle in on the situation. Because you didn't get your own way with the first nom you renominated it.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:32, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
