Do you have any reliable sources for genre (written by staff writer)? Beatport is a music player, while genre tag is unreliable. RE:Bull of Heaven
Whether I mention the author of the article or not is immaterial. Reverting the genre list to "experimental" when many of the references in the article mention that they make classical, jazz, and rock music is childish. At best it is petty... at worst it is vandalism. No other band requires citations to support the genres in their list. It's that simple. Lagopodous (talk) 18:51, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- I think it'd be better if we continue the discussion at the Talk:Bull of Heaven instead of our own talk pages. Also every other band requires sources for these. Myxomatosis57 (talk) 19:00, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
SF Media at Apex Predator – Easy Meat
To quote: "Specifically, reviews should be written by professional music journalists or DJs, or found within any online or print publication having a (paid or volunteer) editorial and writing staff (which excludes personal blogs), and must be from a source that is independent of the artist, record company, etc." (from Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources) SF Media clearly meets these criteria. However, if you feel the need to challenge SF Media please do so at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. IndustrialGiant (talk) 21:06, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
I saw two sources says "pop rock", however, does not properly sourced. Has any reliable sources described for genre addition? 115.164.80.189 (talk) 14:44, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 31
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Muse (band), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Telegraph (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

31st March 2015
What's going on. New Order's page has been protected again because of the New Order Vandal. Protection expired on March 4, why bother protecting again. We might need another rangeblock for this guy.
THANKS!

Do not misrepresent that discussion. Lists were only to be applied if the list is longer than three items. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:16, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- I think I missed out that part on the discussion. Thanks for informing. Myxomatosis57 (talk) 20:19, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
About Genres
Nice job on citing genres at various music articles, like you recently did at the Manic Street Preachers album articles. I was actually going to message you before, but I saw you were on break. Anyway, you seem to be pretty good at finding genre sources. It makes me wish that more users would take the time cite genres, rather than removing genres that are unsourced or just arbitrarily messing around with the genres. I also try to cite genres at music articles myself.
So, out of curiosity, what method do you use to find genre sources? Kokoro20 (talk) 16:05, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you! Well, I mostly look up for the album reviews and related publications cited on the article for any descriptions for the genres. Also, googling the album/artist with these keywords (such as "rock, pop, punk, electronic, metal, rap," etc.) may be helpful and is likely to yield results. I mostly choose the notable and well-written ones among these results. It's pretty basic, actually. Myxomatosis57 (talk) 20:35, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, that's basically what I do as well. I just wanted to know if you did anything different from my method. But still, its sometimes hard to find genre sources for albums and especially songs. There's been times where I searched, only for nothing to come up. Lately, I've been expanding to edit on some more music articles, so you might see me sometime at some music articles you edit. Kokoro20 (talk) 02:11, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- Indeed, it is especially hard for song articles. Keep up the good work! Myxomatosis57 (talk) 09:19, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Breaking Benjamin genres
Hey there again. Recently, there's been a dispute about what genres to list in the infobox at the Breaking Benjamin article. You're welcome to give some input here. Kokoro20 (talk) 05:27, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- Well, consensus has now been established to list hard rock, post-grunge and alternative metal. Thanks for your input. Kokoro20 (talk) 01:45, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Thank you very much...
for sourcing the genres on New Order's albums. That way, we can make Wikipedia a vandal-free place and continue for now, and in the future.
