CSI: Cyber was originally introduced during a 2014 episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The series premiered on March 4, 2015. In May 2015, CBS ordered a second season of CSI: Cyber.[1]

Created by Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue and Anthony E. Zuiker, executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Pam Veasey, and starring Patricia Arquette, Ted Danson, and James Van Der Beek, Cyber follows the work of Mary Aiken inspired Special Agent in Charge Avery Ryan, who is assigned to an FBI division tasked with working on the dark web. Focusing on the psychological aspects of computer forensics, Ryan works alongside D.B. Russell,[2] the director of Next Generation Cyber Forensics, as they supervise a team including Elijah Mundo, Brody Nelson, Daniel Krumitz, and Raven Ramirez, while initially reporting to FBI Assistant Deputy Director Simon Sifter.

As of October 4, 2015, 14 episodes of CSI: Cyber have aired, currently airing the second season.
