Jeunesse Sportive de la Saoura (Arabic: الشبيبة الرياضية للساورة), known as JS Saoura or JSS for short, is an Algerian association football club based in the town of Méridja in the Béchar Province.[1] The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

History

In the 2009–2010 season, JS Saoura won the West division of the 2009–10 Inter-Régions Division.[2] The previous season, JS Saoura was playing in the Regional Béchar League, where it also finished first and won promotion to the Inter-Régions Division.

In the 2010–2011 season, JS Saoura finished first in the Centre-Ouest division of the Championnat National de Football Amateur to win promotion to the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 for the first time in its history.[3]

On April 17, 2012, JS Saoura beat SA Mohammadia 3–1 in their week 28 match up of the 2011-12 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 to guarantee promotion to the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.[4]
