With the film's budget being an estimated Rs.90 crores (USD 20 million), it will easily be THE most expensive hindi movie ever. At the end of [[Dhoom]], people had/have high hopes of Dhoom 2. But with [[Dhoom]] racking up only about Rs.32 crores of the Box Office, it's clear that a budget of Rs.90 crore is quite a risk. But with such hype surrounding it's release, it can easily overpower it's break-even.

Trivia

  • Hrithik Roshan will be seen doing roller-blading, sky diving, sand boarding and various other extreme sports in this movie.
  • Contrary to the latest speculations, Hrithik is not exactly playing the role of a villianous character but is playing the role of a grey character, of a smooth talking thief who is a crowd puller and is in love with Aishwariya Rai's character.
  • This is the first time Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai will work together, after many unsuccessful attempts. Aishwarya Rai was supposed to act in the sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya, Krrish opposite Hrithik Roshan but couldn't commit due to date problems. They were also supposed to be in a movie directed by Tanuja Chandra but that did not work out either. Both of them are playing villains in this movie.
  • There has been much speculation in the media that both the lead actresses, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu, have been convinced to wear bikinis in the movie, which will be a first for either of them. Bipasha has been confirmed to spot a bikini as seen in the promo of the film.
  • Shooting was disrupted when the studio the Yash Raj staff erected was destroyed in the floods that hit Mumbai on July 26, 2005. Shooting is currently taking place at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
  • The high-speed highway chases for the film were shot in Durban, South Africa, where many Indian immigrants gathered to watch the shooting of the film.
