Hi, Charmcitygirl!
I wanted to thank you for adding some GREAT info to the [[Shinique Smith]] article! :) You are helping to improve Wikipedia, which is especially important when it comes to coverage of women (particularly women of color), who are underrepresented in Wikipedia's content, so THANK YOU!!!

I also wanted to let you know that I made some changes to keep it up to Wiki standards. When you re-wrote the lead, you included some wording that was word-for-word identical to info located elsewhere on the Web. As I'm sure you know, copyright issues are taken very seriously by the community. You can read more here [[Wikipedia:Plagiarism]]

The message above from the bot was talking about the links you added to the article. These links provided lots of excellent information, but links should really be for other Wikipedia articles. Some of your links should either be citations or could be included under a heading called "Further Reading" or "External Links." I have been working on turning some of your links into citations (still working on this). I also tagged a few statements as needing citations. Because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, the citations should be secondary sources (for example, a newspaper review ABOUT an exhibition [rather than the gallery's website advertising the exhibition]).

I also deleted or re-wrote some content that was not written in a neutral point-of-view. It was well-written and would have been awesome in a review or thesis, but this is an encyclopedia. It can be hard to get used to writing only the facts when you are accustomed to an academic style. I have struggled with this in the past! Learn more here: [[Wikipedia:Neutral point of view]] If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm happy to help! The teahouse is also a wonderful place to connect with experienced editors and get questions answered: [[Wikipedia:Teahouse]]

Keep up your good work, and I hope to see you around!
