== Partium does not exist anymore ==

Hi there.

You reversed my edit. Partium does not exist anymore as an area. It used to exist in the past. As such, wording needs to be amended accordingly.

Thanks.

Revision as of 06:22, 25 January 2017

Hello, welcome to my talk page!

If you want to leave a message, please do it at the bottom, as a new section, for better formatting. You can do that by simply pressing the plus sign (+) or "new section" on the top of this page. And don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~

Attention: I prefer to keep discussions unfragmented. If you leave a comment for me here, I will most likely respond to it on this same page—my talk page—as an effort to keep the entire conversation in one place. By the same token, if I leave a comment on your talk page, please respond to it there. Remember, we can use our watchlist to keep track of when responses are made. At the same time, feel free to send an alert to me on this page about a comment you have left elsewhere.

Thank you!

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

If you have a reason to undo an edit, then you should say what it is. If you don't, you shouldn't undo the edit. 146.198.79.31 (talk) 21:43, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@146.198.79.31: What you did looked like vandalism, and I used the default template. JosVan (talk) 21:47, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It didn't look anything like vandalism. But if for whatever reason you genuinely thought it did, you should have indicated that. 146.198.79.31 (talk) 22:41, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Islamabad Aiport name

Hi, the official name of Islamabad's airport is Gandhara International Airport, and this is a decision made by the CAA (founders of the airport). Please do not incorrectly change the name. Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by 3dsxl (talkcontribs) 01:05, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@3dsxl: Thank you for your clarification. JosVan (talk) 06:39, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Why speedy delete template not inside the page?
The ilness seems to be notable (Google).Xx236 (talk) 09:11, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Xx236: It seems as unsourced, and is copy & pasted. Why don't you move the article to your sandbox instead?
Please write your observations into the delete discussion or into the page.
I'm not the author.Xx236 (talk) 09:16, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Xx236: Very sorry, I thought you were.
I have removed copied text.Xx236 (talk) 09:21, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Xx236: Can you take that off the deletion list, or leave the notice on if it is not notable I thought I had twinkle put on the notice and I've done something wrong somewhere. Thank YouJosvan Talk 09:23, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have asked the page be deleted because of copyright infringement. Xx236 (talk) 09:26, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing speedy tags with AfDs

Hi, just a general note, by sticking a speedy tag on an AfD, like the two you created here and here marks the discussion for deletion rather than the article page. You must also insert a rationale with your discussion. I have closed the two AfD discussions as both pages have been tagged with speedy tags. In short, speedy tags are for articles, not discussions. Re: Iya Valley

I appreciate your concern that my additions to the page for the Iya Valley do not include a "source" but I can not cyber-tastically "cite" the 90 year old woman sitting next to me who has lived in this village her entire life on this page. Have you ever visited this place? I've lived here for over a dozen years. My "source" is my own eyes ears, nose, tongue, and hands. It is the stories of my neighbors. It is the verbal history which has no physical "source", for which I hope to establish with this wiki. Please come here and help cite a generation who's ways are quickly and quietly vanishing... or otherwise, stopping trying to prevent such documentation with your desire for citation and re-instate whatever content you obstructed — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.215.91.136 (talk) 09:46, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) I have a response to this cut-and-paste comment at my talk page. --Drm310 (talk) 23:14, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There's very little information there. If you could expand it using independent reliable sources there is a chance it could be accepted. I don't think the problem now is that it looks like advertising, but that there is not enough information to establish this topic as notable.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:01, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Vchimpanzee: The thing is, very few reliable sources actually write anything detailed information about Bern Expo, I learnt most information from being there locally and that knowledge can't be used here. Would you please help find some additional sources on Bern Expo? Thank you!Josvan Talk 22:52, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Vchimpanzee: I was also thinking should this paged be merged into Bern instead of a standalone page? Josvan Talk 22:56, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We can discuss it on the talk page. I don't have time today to help with that or other sources but there is a procedure.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 15:00, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nagpur Introduction addition

i added this. Nagpur is ideal location and front runner in alternative capital city for India[1]. This is genuine. Why did you removed this? just wanted to know. Thanks.

@91.103.41.1: Consider whether or not it is encyclopedic enough to add, I don't think so, but if you do think so, please do add it. Josvan Talk 06:48, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply..Josvan.. I wil remove it, if it is not encyclopedic.

@91.103.41.1: I removed your warning because of WP:AGF Happy Editing!Josvan Talk 06:54, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

---- Press Pass , The real Story of game Used Memorabilia cards creation and the 1988 Maxx Dale Earnhardt #99

--17:07, 9 January 2017 (UTC)67.238.171.15 (talk)I'm Joe Williams and My Father is the The original designer/creator and owner of the hijacked non patent of the idea of changing the trading card industry by inserting game used memorabilia in trading cards in premium products. Which changed trading cards forever. All information is documented and designs are on file as well as meeting dictation. We were the CEO and Vice President of All Sports Inc. who designed the Brickyard 400 Set when this occurred and purchased the entire production of product from Press Pass Inc.. They (Bob Bove) took credit for the innovation in Beckett Magazine after going to work elsewhere and after stiffing us for $400,000 US and then Mr. Schaffer went to prison after accepting a buyout from Racing Champions. I'm trying to correct history for several reasons mostly for posterity and the fact of Upper Decks involvement on the 1988 Maxx Myrtle Beach , Dale Earnhardt Reproductions. We purchased all remains from the owner (Sheriar Press, Myrtle Beach, S.C. ) before Upper Deck got involved. We have the only remaining uncut proof sheet that has all the Dale Earnhanrdt cards with the Color bar attached ( Four were made two were cut up by Art Day in my presence and the the third was lost in a fire after being bought by Collectors World Magazine for over $20,000. This sheet is all thats left that can prove all others are fakes made at a later date and the article in Beckett was fabricated disceiving millions of collectors and hobbyists. Judgment of Solomon

Why did you undo my spelling changes? "Bare" is an adjective that means "uncovered" or "naked," but the context demands a verb. "Bear" is a verb that means "carry" or "bring." 208.95.51.72 (talk) 20:51, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@208.95.51.72: So sorry, my head wasn't working then, thank you for telling me.

Rollback granted

Hi JosVan. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! – Juliancolton | Talk 15:45, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Windows Essentials

Hello

I'd like to remind you that any and all reverts require an edit summary unless they are reverting uncontroversial vandalism. What you reverted in Windows Essentials, however, seems to have been a genuine contribution in line with what the rest of the article says.

Take care.

Codename Lisa (talk) 11:18, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Codename Lisa: Hi, because I am new to Stiki, can you show me where to put the edit summary? I don't see a space where I can leave a comment on top of the template. Cheers and Thank You. Josvan Talk 07:36, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You mustn't use STiki to revert non-vandalistic edits. Also, the rule about the tools here is that an editor is at all the times responsible for the outcome of using a tool. It means you can never blame the tool for what has happened. You should know what the tool does and if it isn't appropriate, don't do it.
Best regards,

Changes in Florianópolis

Hi, JosVan. Regarding my recent contributions to Florianópolis: last year we had elections in Brazil and new mayors were elected / old mayors re-elected for a second term. They've all taken office on the 1st of January. In the case of Florianópolis, the new mayor is Gean Marques Loureiro PMDB, as you can check at the city's official page. So I'd kindly ask you to revert back changes to match the current information. Thanks.
