Hi, I am CatcherStorm. I am requesting new page reviewer rights because I believe I sufficiently meet the requirements for this user right- and I do spend a lot of time reviewing new pages. I have tagged several new pages (see User:CatcherStorm/CSD log) which need to be deleted. I patrolled new pages prior to this right being added, so I believe that it would be a net gain yo the project for me to be granted this right. Thanks!  Question: You made a burst of three months editing in 2015 and you've hardly touched mainspace for the past 12 months. What can you do to convince us that you really have a need for this tool? @Kudpung: The reason I have been so inactive for the past year is because I have been dealing with major life events in my life which have been affecting how often I can get on Wikipedia. Now that the brunt of my crises are over, I am returning to Wikipedia. One of the main things I do on this encyclopedia other than my other janitorial tasks is reviewing new pages and quickly tagging the ones that are obviously eligible to be deleted under CSD criteria. I think that the "burst of editing" you mentioned shows that I'm committed to the encyclopedia when I can be. Again, the reason I stopped for a while was due to a life crisis. Being able to patrol the pages that are okay will reduce the amount of pages that other patrollers need to review, which is particularly why I am requesting the right. It's because the right will benefit my ability to contribute in this particular area. CatcherStorm talk 16:31, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, this request stems from recent discussions regarding the backlog; I think we've got a duty to get that down somehow, and I believe I meet the pre-requisite standards for assisting. My CSD log hopefully speaks for itself, and I regularly haunt RTRC, and was an on / off patroller this time last year (clearly more 'off' than 'on,' unfortunately).
