Marcos Javier Acuña (born 28 October 1991) is an Argentine professional footballer who serves as left winger for Racing Club de Avellaneda of the Primera Division Argentina.

Club career

Beginnings

He began his athletic training at Don Bosco Club in his hometown. At that time he played as a left back. His good performance allowed him to be noticed by scouts who invited him to perform tests at various clubs in Buenos Aires. In this way at the age of 17 he conducted tests in Quilmes, River Plate and Tigre but eventually he was accepted in Ferro Carril Oeste. It is also worth mentioning that at age 13 he had performed successfully but didn't stay at Boca Juniors and San Lorenzo de Almagro.

Ferro Carril Oeste

After a few seasons in the reserves teams, he was promoted to the first team. He debuted in 2009 in a match for the championship Primera B Nacional playing as a winger and coach Jose Maria Bianco. Then, his technique allowed him ahead in the field to finish playing as a midfielder or end. Already in the 2013–14 season he stood out for his ability to assist his peers, providing 12 assists, which caught the attention of major clubs. With the team horse played 117 matches and scored 5 goals (3 with his foot) and gave 23 assists.

Racing Club

On 18 July 2014 was transferred to Racing Club, which disbursed net 4,900,000 pesos (980,000 in six installments) for half the pass, with the option to buy another 25% at $750,000, a figure fixed by the trustee body that controls the economy Ferro. On 27 July 2014 he debuted with the Albiceleste shirt in a match for the knockout phase of the Copa Argentina against San Martín de San Juan, in which also scored a headed goal, which gave Racing a 1–0 victory.
