Gaelyn Mendonca is an Indian film actress, model and MTV India VJ. She won MTV VJ hunt along with Sunanda Wong. In 2013, she made her Bollywood debut with Rohan Sippy's Nautanki Saala.[1] In 2016, she became the host of MTV Roadies.[2]
Early life and background
Growing up in Orlem, Malad, a suburb of Mumbai, she attended Carmel of St. Joseph School. Gaelyn later attended St. Xaviers College, Fort. For five consecutive years, she participated and won in the Street Dance category at Malhar.[3]
Acting career
While at St. Xaviers College, she began her modelling career. She has walked the ramp for Lakme India Fashion Week. Soon after college, she began her anchoring with NDTV Good Times on the show "Cool Quotient".
After Cool Quotient, Gaelyn moved on to the MTV bandwagon as a VJ. She did several shows including the hosting of the Cricket World Cup 2011. While still a VJ at MTV, she was offered the role of Chitra in Rohan Sippy's Nautanki Saala opposite Ayushmaan Khurana.[4]
