Rahul Kohli (born 13 November 1985) is an English television, film and stage actor. He is known for playing Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti in the television series iZombie. He has also starred as Jack Spheer in Supergirl.

Early life

Rahul Kohli was born in London, England to Hindu immigrant parents of Indian origin.[1] His mother was born and raised in Thailand and his father is from Kenya.[2][third-party source needed] He began acting as a young boy in school plays. At age 17, he decided to pursue acting as a career, going on to study media studies at Uxbridge College, and later attending drama school where he trained in stage performing.[citation needed]

Kohli was part of several stage productions during his time in drama school and the Royal National Theatre, including Henry V and Sabato, domenica e lunedì.[citation needed]

Career

After completing school, Kohli found an agent and began working in television, making appearances in established series EastEnders and Holby City, as well as advertisements for major brands, such as Sony and Heineken.[citation needed] Although no longer his focus, he continued to work on the stage as well, including a period of time at the Royal National Theatre working with acclaimed director Howard Davies.[citation needed]

Shortly after moving to Los Angeles,[citation needed] he was cast in a lead role in the television series iZombie as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti.
