Hello, I am trying to resolve the issues on Allen Hershkowitz's wikipedia page related to my edits. I am not a well-versed used of Wikipedia, but I absolutely wish to adhere to all guidelines. I am more than willing to disclose the nature of my relationship to Mr. Hershkowitz, and to 'suggest edits' if need be as a result of my past professional relationship with him. I have not knowingly entered any false and/or unverifiable information in my edits; he asked for my help in updating his page with new information because he did not know how to accomplish that otherwise. Any errors I made were a result of a lack of proficiency in using wikipedia properly. I greatly appreciate and respect wikipedia's rules, so I will also greatly appreciate your help in resolving these issues with my contributions to this page and therefore removing the alerts currently at the top of the page.

No, I am not being paid. File at the commons

The image you uploaded at the commons has been tagged for not having appropriate copyright release. There are instructions there about what you should do. SOCKing

My apologies, I didn't realize I wasn't logged in when I started editing, but thought it would automatically be attributed to me when I submitted. This was in no way "socking"--my edits are intended to be transparent, and are 100% accurate. Again, I am not well-versed on Wikipedia editing, and find it very confusing and non-user-friendly as someone who is not a coder. But you're saying I should propose any and all future changes in the talk page rather than directly editing? Is this due to my past association with Hershkowitz?

Above you agreed to follow the COI guideline. If you read the COI guideline, it explains that you should not edit directly, but should only propose content on the talk page. if there is something unclear about that, please let me know and I can explain. About this, some logistical issues:

Please do not change content on a Talk page that has already been responded to. Never do that. Please read WP:TPG
Please post requests in new sections.
Please sign your posts.

About the content you proposed:

The content about Hershkowitz was completely unsupported by the 2 sources cited. Please do not waste our time with proposals that are not supported by high quality, independent sourcing.
The language you used there, "with material and logistical support from the NRDC" is rather putrid PR language. That is not encyclopedic content meant to teach anybody anything.
I noted above that every time you edit, you agree to follow community policies and guidelines - this is the responsibility that comes with your editing privileges.
If you continue to propose content advocating for Hershkowtiz that violates our content policies, then your editing privileges will likely be restricted. The mission and policies and guidelines of Wikipedia need to come first, not your advocacy for Hershkowitz. Please keep that in mind. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 19:55, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This article is currently inaccurate in saying that the Green Sports Alliance got started by team owners. The founding members were all represented by members of the teams' venue operations groups, and owners were not involved beyond granting approval. It also omits the NRDC's role (Hershkowitz, specifically) in convening the people and contributing foundational funding for the organization to get off the ground. This is what the 'About' section of the Green Sports Alliance's website reads: 'The Green Sports Alliance was conceived and founded by the Seattle Seahawks, Portland Trail Blazers, Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Storm, Vancouver Canucks and the Natural Resources Defense Council' (http://greensportsalliance.org/about/).
