Documenting the Portal: Current Events component pages

Is there an appropriate page to really provide an overview of the entire technical structure of the CE portal? Wikipedia:How the Current events page works is directed towards editors (Which is the 'About This Page' link), but it feels like the developer side of the project has no center. Does it seem worthwhile to A) add information there, B) create a new page, or C) is there a different page that already has this? — RossO (talk) 18:31, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

@RossO: There's no page for it as far as I'm aware - but then again, I haven't looked. I would go ahead and create a new page. If it turns out there's already something somewhere, you can always merge them. Best — Mr. Stradivarius ^{♪ talk ♪} 12:25, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Wikipedia Asian Month 2017: Invitation to Participate

Hello! Last year, you signed up to participate in Wikipedia Asian Month (WAM) 2016 on the English Wikipedia. The event was an international success, with hundreds of editors creating thousands of articles on Asian topics across dozens of different language versions of Wikipedia.

I'd like to invite you to join us for Wikipedia Asian Month 2017, which once again lasts through the month of November. The goal is for users to create new articles on Asian-related content, each at least 3,000 bytes and 300 words in length. Editors who create at least four articles will receive a Wikipedia Asian Month postcard!

Also be sure to check out the Wikipedia Asian Art Month affiliate event - creating articles on Asian art topics can get you a Metropolitan Museum of Art postcard!

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 31 October. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 1 November. It will be on all wikis from 2 November (calendar).

Technical news

• The Wikimedia Foundation's Anti-Harassment Tools team is creating an "Interaction Timeline" tool that intends to assist administrators in resolving user conduct disputes. Feedback on the concept may be posted on the talk page.
• A new function is now available to edit filter managers that will make it easier to look for multiple strings containing spoofed text.

Arbitration

• Eligible editors will be invited to submit candidate statements for the 2017 Arbitration Committee Elections starting on November 12 until November 21. Voting will begin on November 27 and last until December 10.
• Following a request for comment, Ritchie333, Yunshui and Ymblanter will serve as the Electoral Commission for the 2017 ArbCom Elections.

Obituaries

• The Wikipedia community has recently learned that Allen3 (William Allen Peckham) passed away on December 30, 2016, the same day as JohnCD. Allen began editing in 2005 and became an administrator that same year.

brand van egmond

Goodday!

I tried to create a page on the atelier Brand van Egmond.

I thought it would be useful, if i look at other pages of design/creative firms.

It has been 7 years since I last created a page.

I thought I had kept the guidelines well in mind, and also thought it would be good to use existing formats: but still the page is declinend.

Should I not use the format of other design wiki pages, perhaps?
