IIRC,some non-Wiki sources indicate that Sacro had a prior channel 40 that lasted from 1953 to 1957:The callsign was KCCC, and it had a dual affiliation with ABC and DuMont...Ranma9617 03:42, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

In the early 1980's, KTXL had a simulcast transmitter by the name KMV-49 to send their signals southward and eastward to the Merced, Sonora and Calaveras areas. In the wikipedia template on Sacramento TV, I only found channel 49 in the Sacramento TV market is under KSAO-LP, but Merced lies in the Fresno TV market and its' FOX affiliate is KMPH-TV 17/26 by a transmitter in the Merced area. +
Are your sure that isn't K49MV? The three-letter callsign format is rare, and usually is on stations named for 1920's-era AM broadcasts (for instance, WWL-TV is named for WWL radio, used to be the same owner long ago). I wouldn't expect to see that format on a repeater call. --66.102.80.212 (talk) 17:09, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fox affiliation could move to ION

http://deadline.com/2017/08/sinclair-broadcasting-shares-slip-report-fox-switch-affiliations-ion-media-1202141471/.

This article noted that Fox is rumored to have a meeting with Ion Networks for a new Fox affiliation deal. Note if Fox really does the deal with ion then Sinclair/Tribune stations like KTXL could lose the Fox affiliation and move to an Ion affiliate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:640:C400:775B:0:0:0:E5F6 (talk) 21:41, 3 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Adding unreferenced entries of former employees to lists containing BLP material

Hello, Please do not add unreferenced names as entries to a list of former employees in articles. Including this type of material in articles does not abide by current consensus and its inclusion is strongly discouraged in our policies and guidelines. The rationales are as follows:

  1. WP:NOT tells us, Wikipedia is "not an indiscriminate collection of information." As that section describes, just because something is true, doesn't necessarily mean the info belongs in Wikipedia.
  2. As per WP:V, we cannot include information in Wikipedia that is not verifiable and sourced.
  3. WP:NLIST tells us that lists included within articles (including people's names) are subject to the same need for references as any other information in the article.
  4. Per WP:BLP, we have to be especially careful about including un-sourced info about living persons.

If you look at articles about companies in general, you will not find mention of previous employees, except in those cases where the employee was particularly notable. Even then, the information is not presented just as a list of names, but is incorporated into the text itself (for example, when a company's article talks about the policies a previous CEO had, or when they mention the discovery/invention of a former engineer/researcher). If a preexisting article is already in the encyclopedia for the person you want to add to a list, it's generally regarded as sufficient to support their inclusion in list material in another article. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 19:03, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,
