Follow Up on Squadhelp Article
Hi Abel,
My name is Grant and I'm the author of the Squadhelp article - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Squadhelp - that you reviewed a few weeks back. I'm just trying to gather a little more information. Based on other articles on other naming companies, I feel that Squadhelp should be included in Wikipedia. Here is the Wikipedia article on Naming Firms - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naming_firm - with pages on many industry companies. Here is a link to a Wikipedia article that already confirms us as worthy of inclusion - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naming_firm - see S. I have provided many outside sources and all the information in the article is from these sources. I'm hoping to understand more about your disapproval of this article, so that I can update it and get published. Looking forward to working with you on this.

- @Gpolachek: Thanks for your notification. I've just checked your draft again. It looks better than before, but I would like you to know a few problems about the draft (please do not feel offended):
- The article is an orphan.
- Reference no. 2 is from wikipedia which is not reliable. See WP:WINARS.
- According to WP:CITEFOOT,
citation markers are normally placed after adjacent punctuation such as periods (full stops) and commas
. - It still seems kinda like an advertisement for me, I'm sure you can write it in a more neutral tone.
- Rosetta@home is a good example and you can take a look at it. Thanks. Hope my suggestions help. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 23:25, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi, anytime you see potentially private information please follow the steps at WP:OS and don’t post it publicly on a talk page. An oversighter has suppressed the content in question. TonyBallioni (talk) 00:15, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Great job putting all those templates on your userpage . It is one of the best User pages I have seen on Wikipedia. Kpgjhpjm 03:35, 14 July 2018 (UTC) |
- @Kpgjhpjm: Thanks! I just wanna put all those templates here so that I won't search for them everytime and I am too lazy to memorize them all. They also provide useful info for me. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 03:39, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Apple Music isn’t the most reliable source. Given that the EP charted and you’ve provided one independent review - it’s probably enough. You can’t find anything else to about the release? Dan arndt (talk) 10:53, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Dan arndt: I found others, but they aren't reliable (most of them are user voted and the reviews are quite biased). ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 11:37, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for reviewing article
Hi Abelmoschus Esculentus, Just a note to say thanks for reviewing my draft article on James Waltham Curtis.Lindsark (talk) 11:29, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Lindsark: You're welcome, always happy to help ;-) By the way, I think you should read WP:MOS thoroughly (including all subsections). Regarding your submission, the content is fine and your writing is very good (I appreciate it), but using '''1. Painter''' is not a proper heading. For every sections and their subsections, we use "==Level two headings (two equal signs)==" and "===Level three headings(three equal signs)===" respectively. It will automatically form the table of contents with numbering. I have cleaned up your article and fixed the headings in order to meet WP:MOS. Hope my explanation helps. Happy editing! ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 11:56, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Abel, I've just received a message from you that you had undone a change I had made to the article on Bury St. Edmunds. I had changed "a historic market town" to "an historic market town." My change was not made without consideration. Traditionally, the use of "a" or "an" before a word beginning with "h" has been a matter of euphony, based upon which usage sounds better or is easier to pronounce. This has been one of the more flexible rules in English usage. "An historic" as opposed to "a historic" has often been used because it has been presumed by many writers to sound better. But, also, "a historic" or "a historical" has the disadvantaged of sounding almost exactly like "a historical." This all comes down to personal preference since there is no English or American equivalent to the French Academy mandating usage.
Best to you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8802:1106:1600:7D0B:F279:7967:2953 (talk) 01:39, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
- Yes they are both correct, but as far as what I've seen, "a historic" is more common in both American English and British English. In this case, the "h" of "historic" is pronounced, but the "h" of "hour" is not pronounced and the "ou" is a long vowel, so we generally use "a" for "historic" and "an" for "hour". This is what my English teacher told me... ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 02:16, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Ouch! You've used a template to send a message to an experienced editor. Please review the essay Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars or maybe listen to a little advice. Doesn't this feel cold, impersonal, and canned? It's meant in good humour. Best wishes. Home Lander (talk) 14:38, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

- Been in your shoes before, but all kidding aside, it can be frowned upon to use a template to remind someone to do something they routinely do. The user who I'm guessing you "reminded" me about was not warned because they were using a misleading username and were going to be blocked anyway. Home Lander (talk) 03:59, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- Nvm. I’ll try not to. Abelmoschus Esculentus (alt) (talk to me) 04:58, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

My Draft not being approved
I wrote the draft for the Book The Galatic Solar Wars Series. I am the author of the books and can link you to the fact the book does in fact exist. You said This submission is not suitable for Wikipedia I want to know how information about a book is not suitable when I see articles all the time about books. I try to stay as netrual as I could get. I am not try to promote the books. Just trying to create an article of information about the books. I even left the about the author blank because I knew I could not stay netrual when it comes to that section. If some one else wants to t take a crack at creating the article so the Series as a Page and people can learn about the series as well as see when Upcoming Books are coming I am ok with that. I was just trying to get the article started so others could fix it better from a more netural stance.Jaws is twilight (talk) 16:16, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

be neutral
I feel that my post is pretty neutral, why can't it be published. I don't have any personal bias in it...Can you give me an example of what would be an acceptable article content??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.206.188.77 (talk) 10:23, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- Take a look at Agar.io. It is a good article and well written. Also, your submissions does not meet WP:GNG. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 10:26, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
