Thank you for reverting my edit, Husond! I appreciate your hard work. The time you put into correcting Wikipedia is truly admirable. You should consider running for an important position, such as leader of the free world. You are certainly well qualified to do so, given your impeccable record and your high content of moral fiber. Once again, thank you for taking Wikipedia seriously, for the encyclopedia's legitimacy depends on the effort of individuals like you. I would award you a barnstar, but I have more important business to handle, unlike yourself. Hopefully you will one day manage to find a life. Until then, cheers!

Barnstar!

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
I, Persian Poet Gal, hereby award you with this barnstar for the countless acts of kindess you have done for rewarding other users :). ¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 19:58, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vasco Lopes

Thanks for that. Now you come to mention it, it is Portuguese! Guess I didn't look all that closely. Anyway, I removed the "notenglish" tag because I thought it might confuse the admin that comes to delete it... but then I thought, well, they may be confused because nobody translated it to see if it was notable. So I reverted myself. Just in case you were wondering. Cheers :) Bubba hotep 00:05, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for supporting my RfA

Thank you for your support in my RfA, which passed with a final tally of (56/0/2). It was great to see so much kind support from such competent editors and administrators as commented on my RfA.

I know I have much reading to do before I'll feel comfortable enough to use some of the more powerful admin tools, so I'll get right to it.

Again, thanks;  OzLawyer / talk  13:17, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed move on Bangalore

Hey, you might want to move your vote on the requested move at Talk:Bangalore over to Wikipedia talk:Notice board for India-related topics#Article name updates for some Cities of Karnataka, where the discussion is going on in the wider context of several Karnataka city names being changed. --Xiaopo (Talk) 18:48, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA

Phwoar! OK, give me a bit of time. I'll write up a co-nom in a few hours and hopefully you can launch it ASAP. Oooh, this is exciting :) All the best! I think it should be fine. riana_dzasta 00:26, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. riana_dzasta 06:32, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oooh. I stumble across the most interesting things on RC patrol, sometimes. Made a note for myself to check back later. Good luck! Luna Santin 06:52, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Georgewilliamherbert

This is probably the first time I've ever challenged an oppose or neutral in an RFA, but I felt the need to speak up in support of Georgewilliamherbert. While he may have a modest edit count compared to some vandal fighters, I can personally attest to the value he brings to our mailing lists, namely unblock-en, where he fields requests of all kinds. We would be even better off if he was enabled with the admin bit so he could complete those requests from start to finish. That, combined with his communication skills where he's provided the voice of reason to some pretty contentious debates made this an easy support for me. I'll get off the soapbox now, thanks for listening to the rant.  ;-) Can't sleep, clown will eat me 08:48, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

chatham grammar for boys

what i said was not nonsense and was truth. There is a lot of people willing to take your money from you and there is an especialy vindictive teacher who picks on certain students. Why do i not have the right to post the truth?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.41.134.16 (talkcontribs)

I saw that an anonymous user added some POV material to Weston High School shooting which you reverted. The note you left him might be unnecessarily upsetting, since his edits weren't nonsense. {{NPOV0}} or {{comment2}} might be more appropriate in a case like this. -- Eastmain 06:53, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Time to judge the finalists!

Hello, Husond. This is a quick message to remind you that all 5 finalists for the Esperanza User Page Award have been chosen. You now need to judge those 5 pages, awarding each one 1-10 points for attractiveness, usefulness, interesting-ness, general niceness and quality of subpages. Refer to the Scores section at the project page if you are unsure of how to score.

Once you have scored the 5 pages, email Celestianpower using the specified format. As soon as all the scores have been tallied, a winner will be announced. Thanks. Daniel.Bryant T · C ] 08:55, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Basque Portal?

Kaixo, I'm contacting you because you figure in Category:User eu, meaning that you speak some Basque. You must therefore be Basque yourself or have an intense connection with the Basque Country.

I am thinking that maybe was a good idea to create a Portal (or maybe a Wikiproject? or both?) on the Basque theme but I feel such kind of project requires more than just one person.

If you are interested, please comment in my talk page.

Enjoy, --Sugaar 10:17, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, Husond, I've created a subpage of my userpage (User:Sugaar/Basque Portal draft) to draft the Portal contents. You can use it as reference, toy with it, comment about it... feel free. --Sugaar 18:09, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! Thanks, Husond! I appreciate that. Here's a piece of cake I managed to hide from the mime. — Editor at Large(speak) 21:58, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops!

Lol...my bad. That's what happens when you're doing the stats for 3 different people at once. Anyway, best of luck in your RfA. Nishkid64 22:15, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Thank you

Good luck! Looking like a very healthy nom right now, although I knew there'd be a "not enough time with the project" oppose :-). - Mike | Happy Thanksgiving 22:36, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I, Sharkface217, hereby award you with the Random Acts of Kindness for the countless acts of kindess you have displayed through helping and rewarding others on this site. Good job! Sharkface217 22:31, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Captain Planet

Dunno. Maybe I will. Anyway, what are you doing awake at 4am? You are one dedicated person. The latest I've ever been on Wikipedia is about 1am. :-) Jorcogα  04:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How much sleep do you get? By the way, thanks for the review! I wish I could edit more, but I'm on dial-up. My mother is a shift worker, which means that I get stuck at my grandmothers computer free zone(house). As well as the fact that tmy school's various IPs are autoblocked most of the time, and the IP changes every time you get on to anew page. As well as the fact that my monobook takes 5 minutes to load on dial-up aqnd doesn't like IE. All this equals one cocktail for minimal editing.  Jorcogα  04:42, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Small favor

Hey Husond, I was wondering of you could help me out with getting votes for expanding an article I started a while back. My old US Australia relations article is currently being considered for expansion by the Wikipedia:Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight. To vote, go here and scroll to the bottom.

Thanks man! Sharkface217 05:00, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again, and I won't try to canvass. Sharkface217 05:18, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

your RfA

Hi Husond! The RfA seems to be going really well! I'm going to take a break now (exams start in 8 days), but when I come back I expect to have an RfA thanks lying on my talk page :) Take care, and don't let the jitters take over. riana_dzasta 05:06, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I felt unsure for that very reason, and reverted. I just saw someone do something like it on Rory096's second RfA, but I just went there and saw that it had been bundled together under oppose. No worries :) It's going well, by the way, but I'm sure you already know that ;) riana_dzasta 02:04, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, I'm keeping an unofficial counter, and you're the 5th person to ask me that :p I think I need more time. Maybe in January next year? People are supporting you because you're an exceptional user, but me? I'm a plodder :) Also, I'm starting admin coaching soon, so after that I might feel a bit more ready. riana_dzasta 02:19, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bionicle Legends

Olá! Eu sou o User 84.90.42.223.

November Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Admin Coaching (needs coaches!)
Admin Coaching needs coaches!!! If you are an administrator, or even a generally experienced user, do consider signing up to be a coach.

Admin Coaching, now being coordinated by HighwayCello, is a program for people who want help learning some of the more subtle aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. People are matched with experienced users who are willing to offer coaching. The program is designed for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.

What's New?
The Tutorial Drive is a new Esperanza program! In an effort to make complicated processes on Wikipedia easier for everyone, Esperanza working to create and compile a list of tutorials about processes here on Wikipedia. Consider writing one!
A discussion on how Esperanza relates to the encyclopedia has been started; please add your thoughts.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  • The list of proposed programs has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
  • There is now a new program: the Tutorial Drive! Consider writing a tutorial on something you are good at doing on Wikipedia.
  • The suggestion of adding a cohesive look to all the Esperanza pages is being considered; join the discussion if you are interested!
  • In order to make a useful interlanguage welcome template, those involved in translation projects will be asked what English Wikipedia policies are most important and confusing to editors coming from other language Wikipedias.
  • A discussion of Esperanza's role in Wikipedia is being held, with all thoughts of all Esperanzians wanted!
  • Shreshth91 informed everyone that he will be leaving the Esperanza council as life is rather busy; his spot will be filled by the runner up from the last election, HighwayCello.
Signed...
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

No problem...

Was happy to change your d. Anyway, I've changed my vote to support as I said I would. However, as on the RfA page, I'd like to see you raise you edits-per-page average. Have a great week my friend... Spawn Man 03:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vomiting

David Greenberg DID throw up in his first-year torts class. This is widely known and can be validated through research and polling. Please revert the comment.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.165.3.185 (talkcontribs)

It's difficult to find sources. To be honest, it's not named after that kid because he's still a student. So if he wants to have his name on Wikipedia I think that it's only fair that it be associated with the FACT that he vomited last year in class.

Look dude, David Greenberg is a student. The hall is not named after him - try to find any information to verify that it IS named after him. If you want to have the hall attributed to him, you should at least note that he is famous within the community for vomiting in torts. He was also in Law Revue, an annual Law School production. Students around the law school yearn to one day use the line, in reference to Greenberg, "your honor, opposing counsel vomited in torts class" - BECAUSE IT HAPPENED! I pinkie swear. 216.165.3.185 05:18, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Editor review

First of all, thanks for you review, it was much appreciated. However, you said I needed to increase my flow of edits by an exceptional amount. How many a day do you think I should be doing? Atlantis Hawk 05:37, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would think it's too soon to consider him a "serial pest". The AfD comment thing started less than two days ago. That said, lets see how he explains himself on the the VP discussion he started. I think he'll hang himself for trolling without us doing a thing. Kavadi carrier 03:10, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This user has listened to the advice on how to post deletion comments and is standing up well on the Village discussion. I think you should be more considerate of users and everyone should stop jumping on select individuals, especially when they make efforts to improve. --172.148.94.163 03:18, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Another sock of Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles.--Húsönd 03:35, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what the personal attacks are all about, but anyway, because I travel daily, I use multiple computers in multiple cities and in multiple cities, so please don't confuse all random IPs with me! I'm sure there's times where I forget to log in, but there are probably other times where people post who use the computers after me. In any case, I've read and thought about the ridiculous and repetitious comments on AfD use and have altered my newer contributions as a result. This should not even be an issue still being discussed by anyone at this point. Someone suggested on one of the AfD pages to open a discussion on the Village pump, which I did and which many have responded to. It's time to move on. Sweet dreams! --Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles 04:04, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks

Thank you for participating in my RfA discussion! I appreciate you contributing your voice to the debate and its outcome. I hope how I wield the mop makes you proud. Thanks!

If I'm a bit pale in the face now,
it's because of the amazing support
during my recent request for adminship
and because of all those new shiny buttons.

And if in the future
my use of them should not always be perfect
please don't hesitate to shout at me
any time, sunset, noon or sunrise.

User Page Revert!

No problem with the user page revert. I try to keep an eye out for those vandals who decide to step it up and start vandlizing user pages. I got you on my watch list so it will stick out! Keep up the great wikipediaing! Chris Kreider 03:07, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
