Bishandot[1] is a village located in Pakistan. Kallar Syedan is its Tehsil and Rawalpindi is its District. Punjab is its Province and Pakistan is its Country. It mainly consists of up and down lands. Another main city near Bishandot is Rawat[2]. People of Bishandot who belongs to "Gakhars family who use "Raja and Kiyani" with their names. Bishandot is named upon a Hindu ruler who lived here, named "Bishan" and "dot" means "Village". It is claimed to have fertile agricultural land. Bishandot has its own Union Council which also include many other small villages. There are almost 150 to 200 families living in Bishandot.

People in Bishandot[3] claims to be " Kayani Ghakar" who are also known as "Raja and Kayani" as mentioed above. People in Bishandot are very much involved in Pakistan Army Jobs at different posts serving their Country. The Kayani tribe claims its origin from Kian which is located in Iran. Kayanis have a Persian descent. They also moved to several areas of Pakistan. Kayanis are mainly found in the Punjab and Azad Kashmir. Kayani Ghakar are mainly found in Punjab region of Pakistan.

Location

Bishandot[4] is located almost 5km from GT Road and 20km far from Rawalpindi[5]. It us connected with GT Road via Link Road. The nearest large cities are Sagri[6], Shahbagh[7] and Chowk Pindori[8] Although there is none like city in Bishandot but it is not far from 3 major cities. It can also be seen in Google Maps[9]. It is also 25km far from very famous city Gujar Khan[10]. It has its own local Post office linked with Sagri Post Office. There is a Government Primary School For Girls in Bishandot[11](GPS Bishandot).

Religion

People in Bishandot are all Muslims and belongs to "Barelvi" section of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat. There are 4 to 5 Mosque in Bishandot. Qazi Inam ul Haq is Mawlawi of its Jama Masjid. Ali Akbar, Shiekh Abdul Razzaq and Raja Imtiaz Ahmed Kiyani are Muezzin of its Mosque. Before Independence Day (Pakistan), There were 3 religions in Bishandot which were Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism. After Independence of Pakistan, Hindu and Sikh left Bishandot and migrated to India. Now, There is only one Religion in Bishandot which is Islam.
