Naming conventions
Hiya, if you have a moment, could you please pop in to the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (television)? We're trying to get a clearer view of what people's opinions are, so if you could come in and actually post a comment on your opinion (rather than simply a "support" or "oppose") it would be very helpful. Thanks, --Elonka 07:33, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

BSG move

I was trying to keep all the List of Battlestar Galactica (2004 television series) episodes synopsises on one page because many users keep adding individual synopsis pages to Articles for Deletion. Plus, it's now a lot harder to surf through and keep track of separate entries than it was before. You shouldn't have done that IMO. I was just in a discussion about moving pages around as it destroys the histories of the articles, again, making it harder to keep track of individual edits. I'm not mad about since I feel the main page was getting to large, but it may cause some issues with other users. Cyberia23 01:20, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I didn't mean to write this on your main page, I didn't even know I did that, should have gone under discussion. Anyway, I'm not going to revert it - too much to deal with. Cyberia23 08:46, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About the BSG articles: You seem to have added category:episode lists to all the individual articles. At least, I think it was you. That's putting each episode into the category that's reserved to catch all the lists of episodes of various shows. Just thought I'd let you know why I was removing the category tags. And nice work on all those articles, btw, they're very in-depth and nice, in my opinion. --ZachPruckowski 06:46, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hey xornok question!

about the BC-304 thing on which one was destroyed I dont know if we can put it in the topics yet because it would be a spoiler (please dont read on if you dont want to be spoiled) but in the season 10 spoilers it says on gateworld that the russian ship was destroyed because the first episode of season 10 "flesh and blood" the oddysey(spelt wrong) is in a fight vs the luician alliance... I dont know if we can add that or not so i figured it put it in your user talk and see what you thought.

sounds good Xornok :) I was just saying I figured most of the people already knew that I just wanted to make sure though.

Blitzball

Check out the table I put. Like it ? Renmiri 02:33, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS: We need to move that list of free agents to Wikibooks. FFX already has too many pages on Wikipedia. Check out the Wikipedia FF project discussions to see how much debate we have already have on similar pagesRenmiri
First let me welcome you to the Wikipedia FF Project Team. By adding all the cool stuff you added to the blitz page you are already a member, as contributing to improve FF pages is all that one needs to do to join "Xornok". Germplasm Resources Information Network. Agricultural Research Service, United States Department of Agriculture.
Second, I added the link to the Wikibooks page, which is where more detailed information about game or Game Walktroughs have been placed in the past. Now what needs to be done is move or... engage into long discussions on why we should keep it here instead of Wikibooks (See sphere break discussion). I believe we should move the 2 pages you created to Wikibooks, as they are wonderful but too detailed for Wikipedia. Do you accept this ? And if yes, do you need help with the move ? Renmiri 03:01, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I will move them then..
PS: Template links at the bottom of the edit page are just for your reference
PPS: I didn't get what is your question with Paine's page.
PS #4, use my talk page to leave me messages so I get notified of them "Xornok". Germplasm Resources Information Network. Agricultural Research Service, United States Department of Agriculture. Renmiri
    • Good job on the move!
PS: Maybe you could review and improve the Blitzball#Gameplay section here at Wikipedia. I wrote what's there but it's pretty lame right now Renmiri 04:40, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Bad news... It seems Wikibooks may "evict" the FFX pages soon [1]
I used Wiki Special Pages to import it all into my site wiki, so we don't loose all the work you put into it. I don't mind keeping it there, in fact, we need all the help we can get to add content (with proper credit to you, of course!!!) File:Grin.gif but if you don't want it there, see if Crazyswordsman, the admin at FF Wiki will host it there. I added one page there already, but I can't do import at his wiki, nor do I know if he will host it there. Let me know if you want me to delete your pges from my wiki, ok ? Renmiri 19:39, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Weeee! Thanks, we need all the help we can get! BTW, you are welcome to join our forum too, same login / pwd Renmiri 23:08, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Paine

Tis fixed.. All I did was change the link from Paine to Paine (Final Fantasy) on the Template:FFX Renmiri 04:22, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Templates show at the bottom of the page, after the "save page" button, when you edit the page. You can click on the links there to edit them. Example: in this page here you should see this at the very bottom:
Templates used on this page:

* Template:Grin
* Template:TOCleft
* Template:Welcome

copy

Pretty easy to do. Just "Edit" the wikipedia page you want, sellect all, copy, exit w/o saving and then paste your clipboard contents it on the same page at Wikibooks. But Wikibooks should not be a dupe of here, so we will use it as a starting point for content, not for final pages, OK ? Renmiri 14:43, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

24 (TV series)

Hi Xornok. I noticed you're busy moving the episode summaries to their own articles. Would you mind tagging them with ? Thanks! --Alan Au 06:17, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also, an additional note, it may actually not be a good idea to create article for individual episodes without checking around first. Although there are exceptions, these sorts of articles typically tend to be nominated for deletion. --Alan Au 06:18, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Actually, I don't mind having the separate articles, especially if you're happy to do the work. That said, just wanted to make sure you're aware that it's sometimes an issue.  :) --Alan Au 06:27, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The seperate pages are a good idea for now. However, i believe the plan is to combine the summaries into one summary that describes season 5, like it was done in the other 24 Season pages. So, the pages you created will probably be deleted in a few weeks. dposse 16:49, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Simpsons Season lists

Nice work on the Simpsons season lists, keep it up :) Vint 01:33, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't add names of people for whom there is no article, and who aren't mentioned in a relevant article on a band. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 13:21, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Archive talk page

Yes, you're right! I've never seen one as long as mine. I've put it off because I don't know how to do it, and wasn't able to figure it out because it's not explained well. Do you know how to do it? Badagnani 06:11, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks--it worked! I "stole" the code from some other editors who left messages on my talk page and made my own page. So now you know how to do it when you need to! :) Badagnani 06:59, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding blanking of Avenged scafold article

Hello, Xornok. I recently noticed that you blanked an article which I had earlier tagged for speedy deletion as an attack page. While I appreciate the sentiment of wanting to remove the attack as soon as possible, please understand that it saves the acting administrator a number of clicks (and thus valuable time) for him not to have to consult the history and diffs when going through the process. Thank you for you concern, however. Additionally, on a side note, I could not help but notice the many conditions at the top of your talk page for posting new messages on your talk page, and must express my concern over how unapproachable to new editors it might make you seem; you might consider that in the future. Thank you, Kuzaar 04:17, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for addressing that concern so quickly! This talk page feels much more friendly now. :) Kuzaar 04:29, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kimahri a Dragon Knight ?

Do you have a reference for that claim ? The FFX page just went through a gruesome review for FA status and they wanted references for EVERYTHING... Renmiri 00:54, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think it got changed to lion-like humanoid because we could not find a good reference... Mind if I change it back ? I agree with you, blue mage makes more sense, alas, no refernce for it Renmiri 03:39, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
but then he can also be considered a red mage as he could learn both magics, or a dragoon as he is a spear fighter and has the jump command... So I suggest leaving it as it was Renmiri 14:39, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

wow, demanding

I just saw your post on the FFXIII trailer, "wow, demanding, it's a gun that becomes a gun..." it cracked me up. Good point, well made.--Simondrake 01:54, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blitzball pics

Thanks for that trick of making "gallery" invisible so Roomba will leave my pics alone again.

Sigh.. Thanks to Flooch < rolls eyes > we now have a fair use zealot on the case. Just look at the guy's talk page! He is the terror of many a good Wiki editor. Oh well, I guess I would have to fight guys like him eventually, after loading all those pics... No need for you to cross a Wiki Sysop, though - your vote defending the pictures was helpful enough already! File:Grin.gif Renmiri 08:31, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Slipknot

Please do not simply blank articles. If you want to propose a move, do so; don't do copy-and-paste creations, which are violations of the GFDL. And please don't make unilateral changes, either; discuss on Talk:Slipknot (band). If you continue to do so, it will be contrued as vandalism and be dealt with as such. --Nlu (talk) 07:04, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Final Fantasy worlds

Think it through. The real world is spherical, and does not behave like Final Fantasy worlds. If I start in, say, Russia and fly north, do I end up in Antarctica near the Indian Ocean and heading north, the way I would on a Final Fantasy map? No, I come out in or near Canada, heading south. A spherical world like ours cannot be reconciled with the way Final Fantasy worlds behave.

Now, having said all this, I can't see the point of mentioning it in the article either way, because it's not terribly relevant. But the article definitely shouldn't say the worlds are spherical, because that's not just irrelevant, it's also demonstrably wrong. PurplePlatypus 04:25, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Asurans

"If true, this may be the reason why Jack, while having the Ancient knowledge downloaded into his brain for a second time ("New Order"), was able to build a weapon that could defeat the Replicators: if the Ancients faced something like this before, then they most likely figured out a way to defeat them. "
