Scream

Pronouns

Just wanna do a talk here on the pronouns we want to use for Bex so we don't have edit wars, and so future editors know. Since Bex has stated she has zero preference for pronouns as long as it's said with respect (as said here and here), I think we should figure out what pronouns are used on this page. They prefer "They/their", @Anthony Appleyard:, They can singular… So please, don't just say this is "plurial". Now, their preferred pronoun is they, as they posted on twitter. I know a Twitter post is not enough for a source for many stuffs… But well… Pronoun is a basis about respecting transgenders and non binary. And Wikipedia doesn't misrespect persons. They've posted their preffered pronoun on Twitter. I know they said they respond to every pronoun, but… They prefer "they/their"… Why do you keep she/her in the page while someone did the change ? s It seems since saying that they have zero preference, Bed has changed their Instagram bio to say "they/them". One can assume this means they now use they exclusively, and the page should be altered accordingly. Syl32802 (talk) 15:39, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

 Not done:: Bex has stated that she doesn't have preferred pronouns. She's fine with anything as long as it's said with respect. Unless she specifies she wants to go by they/them specifically, there's no reason to change them. QueerFilmNerd^talk 01:00, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Edit warring over pronouns

This stops now. I have protected the article for a week due to the interminable edit warring from established editors over which pronouns to use. Discuss it here, present evidence as to why "their/they" should be used, or "she/her". Come to a consensus, and implement it in a week. While I'm not against they/them being used (Bex has stated recently that they do like they/them), Bex has ALSO stated that they are fine with any pronouns being used (as said here), so I don't see a reason that we need to change the pronouns. In response to Syl32802 above, since they do seem to have a preference for they/them right now (though do answer to anything as long as it's said with respect), I'm fine with they/them being used exclusively since that does seem to be their preference right now. Transgender

I'm pretty Bex is transgendered, not non-binary. Transgender not transgendered. Anyways, transgender is an umbrella term for anyone who doesn't fall within the typical gender binary most people know. I've been following Bex for a while on social media and they do seem to prefer they/them pronouns, however, finding a source where they state this lead to this being the only thing I am able to find. Just because somebody wants to be referred to in a certain way, doesn't mean you have to. If, for example, somebody didn't want their birth name mentioned, would you leave it out? Using correct grammar is NOT disrespect... 108.20.114.62 (talk) 12:00, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
