Attila Horváth (born 28 July 1967 in Szombathely) is a retired male discus thrower from Hungary, who represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics (1992 and 1996). His personal best is 68.58 metres, thrown on 24 June 1994 in Budapest. 1985 in Cottbus (GDR) Junior European Championships, he win Gold medal with new competition rekord 60.02 metres /former: 58.16 metres W. Schmidt/. 1986 in Athens World Junior Championships 58.08 metres 5th place, he was not content with the results. 1990 in Split European Championships 62.08 metres 8th place, he was not happy. 1991 in Tokyo World Championships 65.32 metres Bronze medal. 1991 he was 3rd in the Grand Prix serie. 1992 in Barcelona Olympic Games 62.82 metres 5th place. 1994 he threw new Hungarian rekord 68.58 metres in Budapest. He held Hungarian Rekord 8 years. 1994 Good Will Games he win Bronze medal. 1994 in Helsinki European Championships 63.60 metres 5th place. 1995 in Göteborg World Championships 65.72 metres 4th place. 1995 he was 6th in the Grand Prix serie. 1996 in Atlanta Olympic Games 62.28 metres 10th place. He is a nine-time national champion in the men's discus event, including eight in a row (1990–1997).
