But the PPS member, at the very list, will sit under the PPS: considering he is the chairman of the party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.131.147.140 (talk) 11:53, 14 October 2019 (UTC)

A proposal: we differentiate full members of Lewica (SLD, Razem, Wiosna) with affiliated members (PPS, Yes for Lodz, PCP, etc.) and supporting organisations (various non-party NGOs officially supported Lewica) in the manner that is done for Polish Coalition. Mostly suggesting this since if Lewica continues as an alliance, it is likely there will be more cases like that of the PPS where non member parties win under its banner.

Members of Lewica

While not officially stated on their website, several members of the Lewica lists have been sourced from smaller parties and social movements. These are: Polish Socialist Party: https://lewica2019.pl/kandydaci-i-kandydatki-do-senatu/okreg-wyborczy-nr-69/1043-wojciech-konieczny (this member has been elected) Twoj Ruch: https://www.polsatnews.pl/wiadomosc/2019-08-07/ruchy-miejskie-moga-nie-pojsc-do-wyborow-z-lewica-spiewak-proby-podjecia-rozmow-sa-zbywane/ and The Polish Communist Party: https://kom-pol.org/2019/10/10/jedyny-komunistyczny-kandydat/ As such it is reasonable we add them as members of Lewica and add them to teh table at the bottom of the page (especially with PPS, which now has an elected representative in the Senate). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.131.147.140 (talk) 11:47, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ideology

@Vif12vf: regarding your comment on ideology - the fact of the matter is that the coalition as a whole only has a broad leftist ideology, as described by the sources. Some of the member parties subscribe to social democracy as their leading philosophy, while others identify as entirely socialist. In either case, we can't list those ideologies as fitting the entire coalition as a whole, as that is simply not correct. Furthermore, although the vast majority of leftist parties support egalitarianism and secularism, not all of them do. There are religious and even theocratic political parties, which advocate a mixture of socialist economic policies and a religious worldview. See The Green Book (Muammar Gaddafi), Liberation Theology, Christian socialism and Islamic Socialism, to name a few. Furthermore, not all egalitarian and secular parties are socially democratic. There are plenty of coalitions, in which such policies are taken to represent the entire coalition, while the individual ideologies of the member-parties are listed under factions - see Congress for the Republic as an example. Furthermore, the ideologies I added were sourced, while as the ones you reverted to are entirely not so, and only inherited from the member parties listed ideologies. Best regards, Goodposts (talk) 18:06, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There are three member parties and all of them subscribe to social democracy, thats why this is kept as the main ideology, the two other ones were added by others. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 21:09, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Furthermore, primary sources are not accepted for ideologies unless they can additionally be backed up by third-party sources! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 21:27, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Several of those parties, Razem especially, has considerable non-democratic socialist wings. It's even arguable as to wether Razem is a socially democratic party entirely, as it's based off the mould of parties such as Podemos, which is further to the left. Other than that, primary sources beat no sources any day of the week. Goodposts (talk) 22:49, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a small edit war with regards to the ideologies in the infobox. Might I suggest that the two editors find sources for all the ideologies, develop an opening paragraph in the ideology section with these sources to minimise edits? Their surge in the election has brought a lot of attention to them so there should be a lot of third-party sources in Polish and English to use. Jonjonjohny (talk) 14:54, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
