Coronavirus is a global catastrophic risk if it continues spreading at its current rate (not because it will kill everybody, but because it will overburden society), so why wasn't I allowed to add it? Speedy deletion declined: Salvador Dalí and Dance

Hello Serafart. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Salvador Dalí and Dance, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Decline WP:A10 nomination: WP:AfD would be a better option. Please discuss it on the article's talk page or with the user. . Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 11:25, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. An edit you recently made to Psou (village) seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:18, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That was not a test, trying to end potential edit wars. Serafart (talk) 02:22, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Serafart, you are right i'm not significant enough for a wikipedia page but i made a little easter egg for my facebook followers. I've recently had my column published and told people how i felt famous from all the love they were giving and i would go and create a page about myself. I do not intend to joke around with wikipedia as i see it as one of the best things of the internet. my sincere appologies. If needed you are free to remove my page (talk) 20:02, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Abkhazia Maps

Hi Serafart, I want to ask you to make some corrections in this map File:Abkhazia_Gulripshi_location_map.svg. First of all I don't see appropriate to put Abkhazia in title, because it's disputed area and to be neutral then we should add Georgia as well or remove that name (Gulripshi location map.svg is quite normal). Second, I don't like region's east border because it shows no difference from border with Russia, but in reality they have big difference. So let's cooperate on these issues, it will be good from both of us.--g. balaxaZe 10:28, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That would not be a problem to change it to just be Gulripshi location map, but I do not have rights to move files. As for changing the border to a dashed line to show the region is disputed, I have no idea how to do that, as my Inkscape skills are terrible. EDIT: I found out how to do that. January 2017

Information icon Hello Serafart. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that there is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created. It is also suggested that pages that might meet CSD A7 criteria not be tagged for deletion immediately after they are created. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course still be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.Template:Z149 KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 15:34, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Serafart. We appreciate your enthusiasm but please refrain from tagging articles for now – some maintenance tasks are not suitable for beginners. New Page Review requires significant experience, which you don't have yet. However, if you have already made at least 200 mainspace edits, you can enroll at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn about keeping pages free of nonsense. Consider doing recent changes patrol for vandalism instead. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page.Template:Z167 KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 15:35, 18 January 2017 (UTC) KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 15:35, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You

I appreciate your diligence in monitoring vandalism on Wikipedia. I am a professor at Xavier University of Louisiana and am teaching two courses with Wikipedia. In one of these courses, Freshman Seminar, the students are testing boundaries and decided to contribute fake information to Angela Davis's page in attempt to prove their point that Wikipedia isn't reliable. I am exceptionally grateful for your work and the work of the community members like yourself you immediately corrected their misconception and I am happy to report that buy in for the utility of Wikipedia is already increasing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mosterbur (talkcontribs) 20:01, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:30, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
