Damon Runyon's short story "Dancing Dan's Christmas" is a fun read if you have the time. Right from the start it extols the virtues of the hot Tom and Jerry

This hot Tom and Jerry is an old-time drink that is once used by one and all in this country to celebrate Christmas with, and in fact it is once so popular that many people think Christmas is invented only to furnish an excuse for hot Tom and Jerry, although of course this is by no means true.

No matter what concoction is your favorite to imbibe during this festive season I would like to toast you with it and to thank you for all your work here at the 'pedia this past year. Best wishes for your 2020 as well DS. MarnetteD|Talk 23:07, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ITN recognition for Vaughan Oliver

On 30 December 2019, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Vaughan Oliver, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Black Kite (talk) 13:21, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

54th Annual Grammy Awards

Hi you’ve reverted an edit I made and I’m not sure why. I recently created the article Le Concert d’Astrée and then wordsearched to find instances of it in other articles so I could blue link them. 54th Annual Grammy Awards already included a mention of Le Concert d’Astrée, so I bluelinked it. You’ve reverted my linking with the summary ‘not listed in nominations’. If the orchestra isn’t mentioned in the nomination I understand the reason for removing it altogether, but I don’t understand removing the blue link but leaving the plain text. Have I misunderstood what you meant? All the best Mccapra (talk) 22:51, 5 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mccapra: - Oops looks like I removed your edits while I was trying to get rid of some earlier vandalism elsewhere on the page. I've added them back. Doc StrangeMailboxLogbook 23:04, 5 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh great many thanks. Mccapra (talk) 23:20, 5 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Terrence McNally edit

Hi Doc Strange. I made a minor edit to Terrence McNally which inadvertently removed the changes that were made in between the time I started and completed my edit. My intended edit was not vandalism, it was ignorance. If you could direct me to the help page that will show me how to avoid doing this again, I would appreciate it. Thank you. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Rhode Island, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New York (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
