The last paragraph prior to "draft" was just plain redundant to the first paragraph, so I've moved the final sentence up and deleted the other one.

The 2020 season will be the Washington Redskins' 89th in the National Football League and their first under head coach Ron Rivera. On July 13, 2020, the team announced plans to retire the name "Redskins," although they did not specify a timetable for doing so. The new name of the team will be announced at a later date.[1]

The team will look to improve upon their 3–13 record from 2019 and return to the playoffs for the first time since 2015.

For the fourth time in five seasons, the team will play on Thanksgiving Day, as they will play at the Dallas Cowboys for the third time in that span. Also notable is their absence from Monday Night Football, their first time off the program (excluding pre- and postseason) since 1999.
