Resubmission of draft

Hello, *:Amkgp, A few days ago you reviewed the Chani Nattan. According to the helpful suggestions of you and a few other users and administrators, I've updated the page since. Will you please take a look. Thanks. HisVic (talk) 17:56, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

HisVic, I do not find it notable enough to pass through WP:AFC. YouTube, Spotify, IMDb etc. as references should be avoided as they are generally not considered WP:RS. Please be patient. If you want further help post your query either at Teahouse or Articles for creation help deskAmkgp 💬 18:14, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re-submission of a declined draft for re-reviewing

Hello there, I wanted to know where I am going wrong. I worked on the citations part and was able to find some of them from old papers and references. What else can be included in them for a stronger draft? Thanking you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Siddharthpetare (talkcontribs) 07:25, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Of Darts Players

Hi, Could you please stop suggesting that darts players I have put up basic info for on here are suggestions for deletion, please? These players have participated in major tournaments in their sport and deserve to have their (in most cases, limited) profiles mentioned on here. That's Wikipedia is for, highlighting players that not many people will have heard about. Darts might not be a massive sport compared to others, but these players have earned their pages by right, and shouldn't be deleted.

If you're such a senior editor as you say you are, you should update the rules so that everyone who has appeared in a major tournament, or who has won a PDC Tour Card. It's very embarrassing that these pages keep on being deleted, when they shouldn't be.JRRobinson (talk) 15:46, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

JRRobinson If they are notable per WP:SPORTSPERSON and passes WP:GNG then it will survive at the WP:AFD otherwise, they will be removed. Wikipedia is not a WP:WEBHOST or a platform for WP:PROMOTION. Rules and policy are not decided by a single person here. Thank you. — Amkgp 💬 15:53, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Amkgp There's no section for darts players in that bit, so all these deletions aren't valid. There needs to be a darts area on that section of WP:SPORTSPERSON.

Thank you

Hi Amkgp, I hope you are well. I wanted to let you know that Beryl May Dent passed GA today - easily - as you said it would! I am really pleased :) I wanted to thank you for giving me the encouragement to nominate it in the first place and for telling how to do it (I didn't know). I am thinking of nominating Jane Ingham as well - I wouldn't mind your considered opinion on whether it would be worth nominating it for GA. I am also considering of nominating Beryl for featured article status given the reviewers comments - but I might have a week off Wikipedia before I do that. Anyway, thanks again, much appreciated, and have a great evening. Gricharduk (talk) 17:27, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gricharduk congratulations on getting the article passed to GA. I think it is of FA standard and should pass FA. You may nominate it after you come back from break. For now nominate it for DYK. Regarding Jane Ingham you may proceed for GA as well. — Amkgp 💬 22:21, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Sidney Hill

On 20 February 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sidney Hill, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that philanthropist Sidney Hill began a new life in England as a gentleman farmer, adding stables to the estate, a dairy and Langford Bullock Palaces for his prized shorthorn cattle? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sidney Hill. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Sidney Hill), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

It would be nice to allow a business to actually finish their page before you try to jump on the bandwagon of being a hater — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mimi.link (talkcontribs) 20:18, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Too much, too early, too fast

Hi Amkgp,

I had previously recommended WP:AN, but I take the suggestion back; the situation looks different than when I looked at it the first time.

My current recommended approach is instead:

  • Sleep
  • Look at the situation again
  • If still completely upset, give it another day
  • When not upset anymore, continue editing as if nothing had happened.

Because that's, in the end, all that matters. The encyclopedia doesn't care about the drama, it cares about article contributions. The community serves the encyclopedia. Everyone does.

Enjoy editing and don't let this stress you out.

Best regards,

Final Words

Thank you Nick Birse for being punitive and harsh enough so that I don't survive in this space and not able to contribute here any further by portraying as an untrusted user and a WP:HATSHOP. You ignored all the large contributions of 35,000+ I made as an AFC reviewer, NPP reviewer, file mover, page mover, rollbacker and pending changes reviewer. In fact I was a regular editor who would catch people violating copyright (both in article space and file space) and engaging in sockpuppeting, vandalism or subject to WP:UAA apart from creating quality articles be it biographical or COVID-19 vaccine related. My contribution page was always available to verify and even looking atleast a month old contributions would have made it clear. But you did not bother and pretended to be ready in reversing your action both at your talk-page here and WP:AN discussion. — Amkgp 💬 04:49, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
