Welcome
Welcome Aquilapolonica1!
I'm Scope creep, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Welcome!
Hello, Aquilapolonica1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:06, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.
While working at Aquila Polonica Publishing I found some incorrect info while using a Wikipedia page for reference. Since it was such a niche subject, I made an account to correct it. I interacted with an editor there and we made the changes successfully. When I did this, I did not understand shared accounts were not allowed.
Later a coworker of mine wanted to make a few changes to another Wikipedia page. Since I had vaguely associated this account with Aquila Polonica Publishing and the changes seemed simple enough, I thought it would be ok to share the account with my coworker so they could make the changes. We were informed that it is inappropriate to share Wikipedia accounts, and when that occurred I promptly logged for a username change that followed Wikipedia’s standards. My coworker still wanted a Wikipedia account for their own personal use, so they registered as a separate user.
While I am not much of an editor, I do use Wikipedia a lot as a reader, especially of Polish history. When I read the arbitration page, I decided to make a post because it seems like it could deeply impact my ability to read. I would also like to point out that while tataqp and I fall on the same “side” on the arbitration, we have some different views on the matter.
Anyways, I am sorry for the misunderstanding here but I can assure you that tataqp and I are two different people that do work together, yet both want to interact on Wikipedia as individuals with different opinions. I hope the admins can understand this situation, and I would be happy to explain anything else about this.
If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}}
with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.
Can you please expand on how you found the arbitration page to begin with? Were you contacted by e-mail about this page? A forthright and honest response will go a long way in building trust here.--Bob not snob (talk) 08:26, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Okay Bob not snob. Let's get a shot at building some trust here and continue this [1]. Did you have any other accounts on Wikipedia before Bob not Snob? - GizzyCatBella🍁 13:13, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Bob not snob. If an admin requests it, I would do my best to remember how I found the Arbitration page. AK at Aquila Polonica Publishing (talk) 16:03, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
