macOS Monterey (version 12) will be the 18th major release of macOS, Apple's desktop operating system for Macintosh computers. The successor to macOS Big Sur, it was announced at WWDC 2021 on June 7, 2021 and is expected to be released in the Fall of 2021.[2][3][4]
Some of the major features showcased during the WWDC keynote include enhancements to Continuity, Apple’s technology for seamless interaction among macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS devices, a redesigned Safari browser, support for receiving AirPlay content from iOS and iPadOS devices, and more.
