References, how to edit

Bon dia Àlex, I did changes in your Lee Harris article.

In DISPLAY mode, you can still find the Gilmourish interview in the reference section, in the numbered footnote part. In EDIT mode, you can find the Guilmourish reference in the section of the main article where I integrated it, but you cannot find it in the "==References==" section anymore.

If you apply my example to all other references, in edit mode there will be nothing anymore below "==References==", but in display mode all references will appear as footnotes in the "References" section. This "magic" is done by the Wikipedia software.

The footnotes are numbered automatically, so the numbers can change when you insert a new footnote. If you use the same reference in several sections, the preview only works correctly in the section where you integrated the reference definition. In the sections where you re-use the reference, preview will be bad, but after saving it works correctly if you didn't make a mistake. Tim2007viatge (talk) 16:11, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
