Bachchan Pandey is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji, written by Nischay Kuttanda and Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. The film follows an original script by Kuttanda and Samji.[3] However, also the movie is said to be the remake of


Jigarthanda .[4][5]The film will theatrically release on 18 March 2022.[2]

Principal photography commenced on 6 January 2021 in Jaisalmer.[14][15][16]

Release

Bachchan Pandey was earlier scheduled to release on 25 December 2020,[17] but was changed to 22 January 2021,[18] Aamir Khan had asked Kumar to change the release date.[19] Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting was delayed,[20] but filming has started on 6 January.[21] and was wrapped up in July 2021.[22] The film will theatrically release on 18 March 2022.[2]
