- The result of the discussion was: keep. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 09:09, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- Propose merging Category:Kingdom of the Isles to Category:Scandinavian Scotland
- Nominator's rationale: merge, redundant category layer with only the main article and a subcategory. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:10, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- Keep Per lead article name. Get consent there first before changing the category name. Laurel Lodged (talk) 10:54, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose -- This does not work because Category:History of the Isle of Man is also a parent. Possibly full upmerge. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:34, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
- A full upmerge is a better option indeed. Marcocapelle (talk) 19:12, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
- Keep and populate with Battle of Renfrew, Battle of Largs, Treaty of Perth and Lord of the Isles. Credit for these goes to user:Jaspe who created articles on three of these topics in Russian Wikipedia, and put them in the category for this Kingdom. – Fayenatic London 19:51, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- I have added Battle of Renfrew to the category but the other articles seem to be about Norway rather than about the Isles. Marcocapelle (talk) 15:17, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hmm. Well, if not kept, at least move Category:People of the Kingdom of the Isles up into Category:Scandinavian Scotland. – Fayenatic London 11:01, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge to Category:Kyiv offensive (2022). (non-admin closure) Extraordinary Writ (talk) 23:48, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Propose merging Category:Battle of Irpin to Category:Kyiv offensive (2022)
- Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, only two articles. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:01, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom. "Fall" would be more accurate than "battle". Laurel Lodged (talk) 10:50, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- Merge -- Not enough content to merit it being kept. Peterkingiron (talk) 18:08, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- Merge, no good reason to keep these two separate.--Mvqr (talk) 13:56, 24 April 2022 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: rename per option A. – Fayenatic London 19:52, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- Option A
- Propose renaming Category:Barons by nation to Category:Barons by country
- Propose renaming Category:Counts by nation to Category:Counts by country
- Propose renaming Category:Dukes by nation to Category:Dukes by country
- Propose renaming Category:Lords by nation to Category:Lords by country
- Propose renaming Category:Margraves by nation to Category:Margraves by country
- Option B
- Propose renaming Category:Barons by nation to Category:Barons by nationality
- Propose renaming Category:Counts by nation to Category:Counts by nationality
- Propose renaming Category:Dukes by nation to Category:Dukes by nationality
- Propose renaming Category:Lords by nation to Category:Lords by nationality
- Propose renaming Category:Margraves by nation to Category:Margraves by nationality
- Nominator's rationale: rename per WP:C2C, category trees are either by country or by nationality. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:42, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- A defined areas of land are usally confined to the territory of a state rather than an amorphous nation. Brabant and a few others would be exceptions. Better to have them with multiple measurable parents than with a single ambiguous parent. Laurel Lodged (talk).
- A - convention within say Category:Barons by nation is 'Barons of Foo' (which is 'by country'). (Except for Category:British barons which should perhaps be renamed.) Oculi (talk) 22:19, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- A -- There are a few British peers who are not British citizens (quite apart from Irish titles). Peterkingiron (talk) 16:35, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
- A', as nation is somewhat ambiguous. These titles are all bestowed by some titular king, emperor, or overlord of a country so the granting country is most appropriate.--Mvqr (talk) 13:58, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
