List of restaurants in Baltimore

Wikipedia is not a directory. There are many restaurants in Baltimore that aren't listed but there isn't anything here that shows notability to be a stand-alone list. Wozal (talk) 14:33, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I'm not sure how the list "isn't even as advertised". This is a list of notable restaurants, similar to List of restaurants in New York City, List of restaurants in Portland, Oregon, etc. ---Another Believer _(Talk) 14:56, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Neither of you know what you're talking about, and didn't bother to look at the listed articles. Ginos was a chain, Little Tavern was a chain, and Looneys is a chain still in operation. All of them had or have locations well outside Baltimore. I also note that looking at the NYC discussion, the result was actually "delete". Also, defunct restaurants, by definition, aren't in anywhere. I remain unconvinced of the value of these lists or more or less unrelated things, so I stand by my original stance. Looney's is a Baltimore chain. And I think I have a clue what I'm talking about considering I've been to nearly every one of these places, their articles are well sourced and this is perfectly suitable as a standalone list, but by all means, do go on. Keep and expand, there are several more restaurants that can and should be added (I'll work on that later myself.) But I don't see how this is any different than other lists of restaurants in xyz city aside from the noms apparent distaste for articles created by Another Believer. 1. I don't have an "apparent distate" for articles created by another user.

2. This discussion is meant to be on the post, not the nominator.

3. Stand-alone lists must be notable; while the individual restaurants might be notable, them being in Baltimore doesn't make them notable.
