Just a GREAT photo and finding that elusive reference

Not the "first jet-powered transport aircraft to successfully fly in the United States"

The first jet-powered transport aircraft to successfully fly in the United States was the Avro_Canada_C102_Jetliner, which flew from Toronto to New York City in April 1950. The XC-123A would be more accurately described as the first United States jet-powered transport to fly.
