Mujeeb Majeed (born 21 September 1985) is an Indian music composer, music arranger, and singer. He debuted in mainstream cinema as music director of the Malayalam-language film Mandharam released in 2018[1]. Since then, he has worked in Malayalam, Marathi, Kannada and Telugu language films. Mujeeb has also scored for several short films one of which, titled "Pawssible", won him a Kerala State Television Award for Best Music Director[2]. He is currently based in Kochi, Kerala.

Early Life

Mujeeb was born in Thrissur, Kerala. After completing his degree in commerce, he went on to pursue a Diploma in Audio Engineering from SAE Institute, Chennai.

Career

Mujeeb started his career as an assistant recording engineer in 2004. In the same year, he composed the title music of a television show called Hridayaragam which aired on Asianet Plus channel. After completing his Audio engineering diploma in 2009, he joined 20db Sound Studios in Chennai as a recording engineer. While working here, he also started to independently work as a music programmer and arranger for various well-known composers namely, Gopi Sundar, Alphons Joseph, Manikanth Kadri, Simon K. King, Anil Johnson, Arjun Ramu, Poornachandra Tejaswi, Kailas Menon and Sudeep Palanad.

During 2011 to 2015, he worked as Music Production Co-ordinator at OnMobile, Bangalore.

Mujeeb received his first feature film opportunity in 2018 with Mandharam. In 2021, he composed music and background score for the National award winner Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam.[3]

Mujeeb launched his own label named Onnu Records[4] in 2020 and released two singles named Flavours and Manasin Kuyile under the same.
