List of Russian inventors

Hello, GreatOrangePumpkin! At Wikipedia:Peer review/List of Russian inventors/archive1 you have requested for a peer review of the List of Russian inventors. Recently rather valuable review has been provided by CrowzRSA. As the creator and the primary contributor to the list so far, I'm interested in further improving of the page and making it closer to the FL criteria. Unfortunately, currently I'm busy both in the real life and at working on other articles, including Russia. But if you'll engage in cleaning and improving the list according to the recent proposals, I can help you with some advice and with further expansion of the page. Cheers and regards, Greyhood (talk) 11:06, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello again. You are doing good work on the List of Russian inventors. I thought I'd check the reliability of info on some inventors, like Abramyan, but I may never have time to do this, so perhaps it is indeed better to add them on the list right now. Just don't make moves like that from Valerian Abakovsky to Valerian Ivanovich Abakovsky - the general Wikipedian policy on naming Russian individuals is first name + surname. First name + patronymic + surname only in the cases when disambiguation is needed (and rare exceptions like Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky). Cheers, GreyHood Talk 15:06, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi,

I wonder if you did react to my question on the help page? Could it be that you did not really understand the problem I had? Apanuggpak (talk)

Warning blocked users?

Hi GOP, just wondering why you warned User:Worrylabeler earlier for vandalism when he hadn't done anything, because he is blocked indefinately? - Happysailor 11:49, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Hello, Tomcat7. You have new messages at Happysailor's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

The article Victor Baluda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced BLP wherein the subject does not meet the notability requirements for juniors as outlined at WP:NTENNIS. Specifically, he has not won a junior Grand Slam title nor has he been in the top three junior ITF rankings

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Santana discography

I've removed the FAC template. This article is a list, so it does not belong at Wikipedia:Featured article candidate. It needs to go to Wikipedia:Featured list candidates when it is ready. Please read the instructions more carefully; all peer reviews must be closed and archived before you can nominate something for featured content. --Andy Walsh (talk) 16:21, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

You didn't follow the instructions at WP:FLC when you opened the nomination for Santana's discog. The last step is to add the nomination page to the list. I have done this for you here. --Andy Walsh (talk) 15:54, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Re: Grammy Award for Best Polka Album

No more red links. Thanks for reviewing the list! --Another Believer (Talk) 17:02, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

FLC

Hi. Just wanted to let you know: striking others' comments at FLC, as you did at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Philadelphia Phillies all-time roster (A)/archive1, is discouraged. I know that it was a simple request by me for clarification, but I would have struck the comment myself eventually. Just wanted to let you know for the future. Happy editing! — KV5Talk00:05, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

List

Hi! That Santana song showed up again on the VM list so I reverted your last edit but I think it was the BOT edit that put it back. I think the information on the songs in 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll needs to be moved down to the bottom listing of Other Awards and Greatest Lists. The songs were said to be selected, so true to say not inducted. Thanks, Agadant (talk) 10:19, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

I found mention of three awards in 1995: IVOR NOVELLO: Lifetime Achievement Award, Q Award: Songwriter and ASCAP award: Songwriter. I haven't been able to find any really good sources for these. Perhaps you can see what you come up with? Agadant (talk) 12:49, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ♫Greatorangepumpkin♫ T 11:56, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Info in list

Upon looking at other articles such as U2, I have become convinced that the text portion of the List article that you have created should be moved back into the Van Morrison main article. It would have been best if you had discussed your removal of the material from the main article on the talkpage first, as it was a major change. I'll have to rework some of the named references and I'll help you to make the list into perhaps a Featured list over time. I hope you'll accept this in the helpful manner it is intended, but you really need to get more experience as an editor before nominating articles for promotion. It takes a lot of hard work and time to be successful with this. :) Thanks and look fwd to working with you on the list. Agadant (talk) 12:39, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

After editing tonight the list tables, etc. might need some work now. I'm not experienced much with tables but I'm sure you'll be able to figure out how to fix them. I'll help with adding some information/text to the list but I don't think it should have that much. (At least not as much as before and different from that given in the main article.) Thanks, Agadant (talk) 04:22, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
