The link to his spouse Gabriela under the Personal Details section is incorrect. It takes you to a Venezuelan Gabriela that has worked in film directing. I’m new to this so I don’t know how to edit that. DKS81 (talk) 12:53, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Personal

This article needs information about his childhood and education. Kdammers (talk) 06:45, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Expulsion from FMLN

I don't know anything about the particulars of this, but this segment: "He challenged these Acts from FMLN that were unethical and corrupt, illuminating much of the wrongdoing that FMLN had done over the years, including acts from former president Funes." clearly needs rewritten as it's clearly partisan and unsubstantiated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.185.161.120 (talk) 18:49, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection

I see that a lot of different editors have been reverting vandalism on this page. Just a reminder, or a notification for those who may be unaware, that in this situation one can request intervention at WP:Requests for page protection. I have just done this myself, but I imagine it may come up in future as well. Sunrise (talk) 01:07, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

citation issues

There are a significant number of citations in this article which direct to a single page which appears to be a blog about El Salvador: https://elsalvadorinfo.net/nayib-bukele/ . I don't know quite how to address this. Are there no news media sources for any of these statements? --129.7.0.24 (talk) 19:26, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Source on Bukele from the Washington Post

This source ([1]) seems to be a rather long-form view of Bukele and his presidency from 2019, with initial positive reactions with US (and other) nation states, which have rather seemed to sour in recent months--but have remained positively received with much of the younger/milennial generation in El Salvador. Could usefully improve the article, but not quite sure where such a summary view might fit in. What do others think? N2e (talk) 22:27, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

- Requesting update on information stating that "Buekele sent Ernesto Muyshondt on house arrest" because this is false information, that request was made by the Attorney generals office and it was filed in a Court, and not bukele himself as he doesnt have athority to "send" anyone on house arrest. He was also being charged for rataining social security contributions from employees that worked at the City Hall. This information is misleading Alvarengamae (talk) 06:02, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:12, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bukele's Twitter bio

Bukele has changed his Twitter bio to "Dictador de El Salvador," which yes, does translate to "Dictator of El Salvador." This seems like a worrying development, but I'm not sure to what extent it should be documented in the article yet. Is there another way to read this besides a prelude to some kind of power grab? Ithinkiplaygames (talk) 04:02, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's quite clearly a shitpost. Bukele has shitposted before on Twitter and on Instagram, this isn't out of character or shocking. Pizzaking13 (Hablame) 06:26, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fox News as a source?

Why is Fox News used as a source for his comments on the FBI? I thought general consensus is that Fox News is unreliable. 174.240.253.119 (talk) 01:12, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for highlighting what many people have been concerned about, regarding Wikipedia and the "oh so carefully and curated" list of "credible sources".
You wish to exclude truth and deny pluralism. You wish to constrain Wikipedia on current and political matters to an in-group political stance, which is so often driven by personal bias and animosity.
You are correct, the accurate and truthful quote does not meet Wikipedia standards. It must be expunged, to continue the biased and partisan ideology of some Wikipedia editors. I feel very sad this it has come to this, but it has. You win. 185.115.6.192 (talk) 20:04, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is a typo to be corrected in the end of the “personal life” section.

“The last time El Salvador hosted the beuty pageant was in 1975.”

“beuty” -> ”beauty” 2600:1700:2600:8D10:AD2B:21A5:F19A:951E (talk) 03:50, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
