thought

Where is a summary and analysis of his thinking? The article lacks both. Hmains (talk) 01:55, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Hmains:That would definitely improve to article. Please add if you have the information and the time. Jonpatterns (talk) 10:02, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I would if I knew, but I don't. Hmains (talk) 18:18, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism

Hello. Is it allowed to add some criticism? Voices in France say he's too munch linked to the banking system (using banks to finance his economy school) to deliver objective research in economics. Sources available on request, but you'll need some French proficiency... Regards, --— J. F. B. (me´n parlar) 11:20, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Jfblanc:Hello. Criticism is definitely welcome as long as its reliably sourced and doesn't upset the balance of the article. Please add, or if you don't have time maybe list the French sources. This would allow a French reading editor to update the article later.Jonpatterns (talk) 10:02, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Jonpatterns: Hello. This is a paid-access article, cited there: http://www.sauvonsluniversite.com/spip.php?article7158 That other site page also links to pdf reports by "Cour des Comptes" (a public body checking public finance) that points out the misuse of public funds and the conflicts of interest. Regards. --— J. F. B. (me´n parlar) 14:49, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Jfblanc:Adieu, sauvonsluniversite.com isn't a reliable source. A455bcd9 (talk) 19:39, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@A455bcd9:Not sure it is less reliable than Mr. Tirole... The document they provide as links are official reports confirming their points. Regards. --— J. F. B. (me´n parlar) 00:23, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suggesting the addition of the following detailed interview with Prof. Tirole to the External Links section. The interview includes biographical information and his observations on various economics topics. (I am an editor with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, which published the interview in its magazine, Econ Focus.)
