The link to pakistantruckart.com that is repeatedly being reinserted in this article is unacceptable for a number of reasons:

  1. It is a blog with no particular provenance that does not represent a reliable source
  2. The repeated reinsertion appears to be promotional in nature
  3. Although it does not do so currently, it has set of my malware detection in the past. Probably it just serves unfiltered ads and some of them are malware.

Please do not return this link to the article. I will seek to have this page protected, or seek other measures such as blacklisting the link, if it is returned to the article. Gavia immer (talk) 18:56, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal with Jingle truck

[edit]

I have proposed that this article be merged with Jingle truck, as both seem to be referring to the same phenomenon. Any thoughts on the issue, or shall I go ahead and merge the pages under the WP:BOLD authority? wia (talk) 22:10, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've sent out notices to every registered/auto-confirmed non-bot user I could find who has edited this page since its creation. The discussion is happening over at the Jingle truck talk page. Hope to see you there! wia (talk) 01:00, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

South Asia or Indian subcontinent?

[edit]

I reverted the replacement of "South Asia" with "Indian subcontinent" for a number of reasons:

  1. The former matches the title of the article, which is the consensus reached in a discussion that has been open for months.
  2. Comparing the two articles South Asia and Indian subcontinent, it appears that the main difference between the two terms is that Afghanistan, a center of this art form, is not normally included in the latter. Conversely, the term "Indian subcontinent" is centered around India, which is not a center of this art form. Therefore the name is misleading.
  3. The spelling of "Indian Subcontinent" was incorrect and did not match that article title.

Truck art in Pakistan

[edit]

Most of the text and pictures are related to Pakistan. This article should be renamed to Truck art in Pakistan. --Spasage (talk) 14:36, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This has been discussed before. And using "related" as an argument for changing the title is particularly silly. Of course, truck art in neighboring countries is "related" to one another; that's no argument for changing the title. ◄ Sebastian 09:20, 27 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
