Changed all military ranks to capital letters, along with cleaning up a lot of minor grammatical/stylistic issues. I'm not sure what the preferred style for the ranks is, but I tried to be consistent. 218.225.111.205 01:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

General Edmund Rice

[edit]

Hi,

My name is Steven J. Nitch, I am General Edmund Rice's great, great, great grandson. I am the curator of the General Edmund Rice Museum.

My recently published biography of General Edmund Rice from Military Images Magazine is the basis for your article and is given proper credit in a footnote.

I wanted to let you know that the image that you posted is an error and is not General Edmund Rice.

It is General Elliot Warren Rice. I let the Arlington web site know of this a while back.

Check out my website to see what he really looked like.

I would be willing to post one of my original images to your site if you would like. Please remove the incorrect image. My biography had 50 images to go along with it. I'm unsure how my article made it to the web, today is the first time I have seen it on this site.

Sincerely,

Steven J. Nitch greatx3 grandson of General Edmund Rice 71.112.221.67 21:20, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm glad you found this article and hope you approve of the synopsis of your work. Please feel free to make any corrections or additions as you see fit. I would especially like to know more about his inventions. I had trouble finding information about them. And I would very much like to have the correct photo here. I'll remove Elliot Rice's photo in the meantime. I am a cousin of yours', having descended from Edmund Rice (1638) 7 different ways, although I am not a descendant of the General's. --Appraiser 22:00, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
