Alliteration
[edit]Could someone please give me a source for "His philatelic publishing was prolific", because I think it is just vandalism. How many times do you come up with alliteration and a toungue twister in an encyclopedia? --Obaidz96 (talk) 01:11, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Robson Lowe - Stamp Auctioneer
[edit]Robson Lowe ran a very successful auction. I knew someone who worked for him as a describer in his later years. I think his company was bought by Philips, in turn bought by Bonhams, though I'm not entirely sure about that. Apparently he was very keen on limericks and verses. Expansion
[edit]Earlier today I reverted Maidonian's removal of the stub templates and now reassessed the article as a start-class. Re-adding the stubs was done before any expansion took place which happened later; at the time there were only a couple of short paragraphs of prose which rated the article as only a stub at best and could only marginally have been classified as a start-class article if pushed. Despite there being a large bibliography does not add to the fact that the prose was so short but it is better now. The three deleted named philatelists were also reverted, even after expansion, because each of these there contains specific references to Robson Lowe that will likely never be found by readers just clicking on the List of philatelists, so I have reinstated those see also links. Additionally I have converted the inline citations to use citation templates as is recommended because the templates allows better information to be added with proper style and format. The article still needs additional work with verifiable reliable sources and more references. ww2censor (talk) 03:42, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
