  • Comment: This draft is for a title that was previously an article, but was then cut down to a redirect. If this draft is accepted, the history should be preserved. Do not tag the redirect for G6.
Reviewers should check the history and verify whether there was a consensus to cut the article down to a redirect, or whether the action was taken boldly without discussion. If there was a consensus for the cutdown, do not accept this draft without verifying that the draft improves the article or that consensus has changed. If in doubt, please discuss.
This draft is a draft on a subtopic of an existing article, Blackout (Britney Spears album). Discussion as to whether a separate article for the subtopic is warranted should be on the talk page of the parent article, Talk:Blackout (Britney Spears album).
Please discuss the suitability of creating a separate subtopic article on the talk page of the parent article. Please resubmit this draft if there is rough consensus at the parent talk page to create the child article, or with an explanation that the child draft satisfies either general notability on its own or a special notability guide. "Everybody" is a song recorded by American singer Britney Spears for her fifth studio album, Blackout (2007). It samples the Eurythmics' song "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", written by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart.

It was produced by J.R. Rotem, who also confirmed Spears wrote her rap verse in the song but was never credited.

The song is a deluxe track, released exclusively on the Japanese edition CD[1] and all digital deluxe editions.[2][3]

Background

The Cheetah Girls later recorded a demo when it was unclear if it would be used by Spears. It was originally intended for Rihanna's second album A Girl Like Me, but when the producer began working with Spears, he decided to give the song to her.[4] Rihanna later recorded several songs intended for Spears.[5]

Composition

"Everybody" is three minutes and sixteen seconds long. The song features an electronic dance beat and uplifting lyrics about embracing individuality and being yourself. The song also describes sexual obsessions.[6]

Chart performance

"Everybody" reached the top 85 in the Canadian Hot 100 and top 90 on CIS TopHit.
