Present Efforts (2011-Present)

Since 2011, Liesegang's work is influenced by direct observation of nature. Against a contemporary backdrop of mass consumerism and an over reliance on technology. Semi abstracted water reflections and layered glass-like surfaces characterize this recent work.

Quaboag Series SERIES (2013 - 2016)

Named after a lake in central Massachusetts and inspired by direct observation of nature, Liesegang completed a series of paintings, pastels, and watercolors. Semi abstracted water reflections often observed at dusk led to the creation of layered glass like surfaces.

2022 - present

Liesegang finds inspiration in rudimentary markings such as children's sidewalk drawings, scratches on park benches and carvings on trees. Often effaced or written over, but not fully erased, Liesegang's canvases are often illusions of concrete or stone, depicting the human desire for acknowledgment.
