Tone of article

[edit]

I'm concerned that this article is a little too admiring. Did this scientist never have any setbacks or disappointments? Were all his theories proven correct? If you would like some more eyes on this article, you may wish to post a request at the Rfc Biographies Noticeboard. The link for posting a new request is at the bottom of the page.

Also, while more footnotes and references are good, especially in a biography of a living person, they have unfortunately been inserted as bare urls, which are not recommended. More explanation, including how to fix them, can be found here: WP:BAREURLS.

I hope this helps. JanetteDoe (talk) 02:20, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement of the Article

[edit]

Thank you, JanetteDoe, for your comments and reply.

In the Russian version of the article, it is written that Yurii Matros faced criticism of his opponents who claimed that he wants to construct a perpetual motion machine. His theory however was proven to be true, and he was able to construct his reactor. Would you consider this information as a useful addition to the English article?

Please also give more specific suggestions on how to improve the article so that the tag is removed. Would you recommend deleting or adding some sentences so that the article does not seem so admiring?

Additional Changes to the Article

[edit]

Dear JanetteDoe, Since you did not reply to my last message and did not explain to me more precisely what corrections and additions to the article you would recommend to make, I decided to proceed on my own. Following your suggestions, I inserted some directed quotations/translations from the Russian sources/references. I also changed several paragraphs in the article by including additional information and by changing the style of the writing as you suggested. I also added a picture of the Matros reactor. Overall, it is my belief that the article now is more neutral and scientifically oriented than it was before. I also belief that I addressed your concerns enough to remove your tag which I will do now. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns about the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dserge01 (talkcontribs) 20:41, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
