The article states twice that she was the only African-American Episcopalian Deaconess, and I see that the citations back that up, and perhaps that was true when those articles were written, but it certainly isn't true today. The Deaconess at my church is an African-American woman even. I don't know enough about Wikipedia to edit that, and I'm not sure if I'm making this discussion post correctly even (I apologize if not), but I thought it ought to be pointed out. 166.181.80.244 (talk) 21:01, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
