Suggestions for possible expansion
[edit]There is a very, very interesting history of the facility and its impact on Calgary.
- Art and Sculpture
- The bronze statue of Gen. James Wolfe was purchased in 1966 by Eric_Harvie and erected at the Centennial Planetarium in 1967. On Harvie's request, it was placed facing city hall, in a symbolic gesture to keep watch on city hall.

- Hi Bwieser. Your enthusiasm for wanting to improve the article is quite commendable. An article talk page, however, is a community page where all editors can come to discuss ways to improve the article in question. Article talk pages are subject to Wikipedia's talk page guidelines to make discussions easier to follow and make it easier for others to particpate. It's OK to discuss specific ways to improve the article about the planetarium on this page, but you might be better of working on some of ideas in your user sandbox until you're ready to discuss them here. This will make it much easier for others to comment on your suggestions and possibly offer some of their own. If you're not too familiar with using article talk pages, please refer to H:TALK for some more information. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:58, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
Worth Noting?
[edit]On August 8th, 1979, Robert Fripp recorded parts of the track Under Heavy Manners from his album The League of Gentlemen at the Calgary Planetarium. It would be nice to see mention of that in the article. 2001:56A:700F:2500:882D:84D4:32F5:FCE7 (talk) 05:24, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
