Which animals have rights?[edit]

The article does not address the basic question of "which animals have rights?" Many feel very protective animals that are frequently kept as pets, such as dogs and cats. The question of "rights" for destructive animals is ignored: rats, termites, mosquitoes, fleas, corn borers, potato beetles, army worms, boll weevils, fire ants, locusts, etc. The article is incomplete without addressing this.
