Actually, in the first appearance of the Frightful Four, he was still called Paste Pot Pete. Not sure when he first adopted the Trapster moniker, but if you look in FF#36, he's still Paste Pot.

His identity change came in FF#38, the second appearance of the Frightful Four. It was hinted at in the letters page of #36 and #37.
