Tiger

In 1868 Henri De Braeckeleer won fame by shooting a tiger that had escaped from the Zoo in Antwerp and had already killed a man. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 22:26, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No, that was his nephew Adriaan de Braekeleer (also an artist), and it was a small faits-divers at the time, not really something very famous. Vekemans and Werbrouck were the true heroes, facing the still healthy and dangerous tiger. Braekeleer simply gave the badly wounded animal the final shot to kill it, but the main shots were fired by the other two. Fram (talk) 04:34, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
