There are several errors in the description of this aircraft, I think it would be better not to link it to any country. Since the only two models built were made in Brazil, and flew for the first time in Brazil in 2017. It makes no sense to designate it as an Emirati aircraft if it is also not designated as a “Brazilian aircraft”, since it was not even manufactured in the UAE, unlike the future B-350.
Furthermore, the Calidus group NEVER manufactured either of the two existing aircraft, nor did they participate in the design process, done by engineer Josef Kovacs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paraguassuu (talk • contribs) 22:27, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's complicated. Calidus has owned Novaer since 2015, and presumably that's when the design work began, and the B-250 wouldn't have been designed otherwise. I don't have an issue calling it an Emirati/Brazilian aircraft. BilCat (talk) 22:38, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, actually Calidus bought the design and production rights, in addition to paying for the development. Novaer remains an independent company, and has returned to its training aircraft project. Plus,h they are part of ABIMDE, companies in the defense sector that cannot be wholly controlled by foreign companies. As I said, there is a lot of mismatched information. Many sources claim it is an Emirati aircraft. While these may be in error, we should probably ask the following questions. Did Calidus have any input in the design process? Does Calidus intend to produce the B-250 locally in the UAE? The answer to the second question is yes, which might be enough to continue listing a dual-national origin in the article. - ZLEAT\C15:59, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that it is, but to be it must also be Brazilian, which doesn't seem to be a consensus among editors. About her having participated in the design process, I doubt it very much, since the company had no experience in the this market. However, this is a matter for the contractual clauses signed with Novaer, of which it is non-public, of which none of us has access, and therefore cannot be strongly stated. My question is, Novaer and Calidus only exercised a contractual pact for production and certification of the two prototypes. Never became a subsidiary of each other, it was just a contract for service already rendered, and currently the two have no involvement. Paraguassu (talk) 20:07, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for correcting the Novaer article. However, I'm not sure what your issue is now. Yesterday, I added "Brazil" to the infobox alongside UAE, which ZLEA has also supported. BilCat (talk) 19:17, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, but the problem has not been solved. Once again, the aircraft in question was not built in the UAE, it was built in Brazil, and it flew in Brazil for the first time in São José dos Campos, with a prefix registered (PR-ZNT) at ANAC for experimental aircraft. I know that perhaps the language barrier can cause a lot of communication noise, but there is also NO information(not at least a record of the fact) that says that this aircraft flew for the first time anywhere else but here. Again, Callidus did not have, prior to this project, any other in the aircraft segment and not even past in the same, their role in the B-250 was ONLY funding. I will leave the links of the reports and the plane, flying over a Brazilian city, with a Brazilian prefix registered before the 2019 Dubai Air Show. DefesaNet, CavokTecnodefesa, Aeromagazine.
